“Devaki Nandana Vasudeva” – A Perfect Commercial Entertainer. Divine Elements, Twists, and More Await the Audience: Actor Ashok Galla

Superstar Krishna’s grandson and superstar Mahesh Babu‘s nephew, Ashok Galla, is ready to captivate audiences with his second movie, “Devaki Nandana Vasudeva”. The film is directed by Arjun Jandhyala, who made a hit with “Guna 369”, with the story by Prashanth Varma. Actress Manasa Waranasi stars as the heroine. The film is produced by Somineneni Balakrishna under the Lalithambika Productions banner, with Nallapaneeni Yamini as the presenter. The teaser, trailer, and songs have already generated good buzz around the movie, which is set to release in theaters on November 22. During a press meet, Ashok Galla shared interesting insights about the film.

You met Mahesh Babu yesterday. What did he say about the film?

We had a live session. Today, he is watching the film, and we are eagerly waiting for his response.

Did Prashanth Varma come up with the story or the direction first for this project?

Prashanth Varma approached me with the story first. He asked if I would be interested in listening to it. After hearing the story, I felt it was fantastic. Director Arjun, producer Balakrishna, and Prashanth’s vision were all in place from the beginning.

How did Arjun Jandhyala impact the story after joining?

The scale of the movie increased significantly. Arjun made the film more impactful and executed it in a true commercial style. The action and emotion are handled exceptionally well. Arjun and Prashanth took the story to the next level, delivering an output even better than expected. After seeing the film, Prashanth felt very happy with the results.

What about the divine and mythology elements in the film?

In this story, we depict a character with divine traits, similar to Lord Hanuman. The hero’s name is Krishna, the heroine is Satyabhama, and the villain is Kamsaraju. The film integrates mythology as a metaphor.

My character’s rise is highly captivating. The movie has several twists and an ‘X-factor’ that will surprise audiences. There are many interesting elements that were not shown in the trailer. Arjun has taken the divine elements to the next level in the film.

When you watched the trailer, did it remind you of Murari?

When we shot the first song, it gave us a Murari vibe. The take-off feels similar, but you won’t see Murari shades in the rest of the film.

The story is set against the backdrop of Vijayanagaram. What care was taken regarding the slang used?

Since it’s a commercial film, director Arjun ensured the slang was not too heavy. He gave us a lot of guidance, and the dialogues by Sai Madhav Burra are very easy to deliver, with no complexity. He deserves credit for crafting such beautiful lines.

The look of the film is unique. What steps were taken in that regard?

We paid a lot of attention to the look. I always prefer to look different in each film. For this movie, the character demanded a rugged appearance, and we worked on that. I also worked hard on my physique for this role.

What can you tell us about Manasa’s character?

This is her first movie, and she worked very hard to prove herself. Her character holds great importance in the story. Working with her has been a great experience.

What about the music by Bheems?

There’s no need to mention Bheems’ popularity. He is known for delivering viral songs, and in our movie, his background score is outstanding.

How is producer Balakrishna?

Balakrishna is a passionate producer. He believed in the story and ensured that the film was made without any compromises.

What about Devadatta’s role?

He is a veteran actor, and when he agreed to play the villain, the film reached another level. His swag in the role is phenomenal.

The mother’s character also holds significant importance in the story.

What was your feeling after watching the final output?

We are very confident about the movie. It is a strong commercial film, and I believe the audience will enjoy it. With a mix of perfect commercial elements and Prashanth Varma’s touch, the film will provide a fresh experience for the audience. We are sure they will love it.

Your father is a successful businessman and political leader. Do you have an interest in those areas?

No, my focus has always been on acting.

What genres do you prefer?

I am open to any genre, as long as the story and character are well-developed.

What about upcoming projects?

I am currently working on a comedy drama in Sithara, which is a complete youth-oriented story.
