Sneha, overwhelmed with emotion, spoke on Telugu Indian Idol 3 about the profound impact Vijay’s timely intervention had on their lives.
This act of kindness wasn’t an isolated event. Another family from Markapur, Andhra Pradesh, also visited the sets of Telugu Indian Idol 3 to express their heartfelt thanks to the actor. The Deverakonda Foundation (TDF) was established specifically to aid middle-class families struggling due to the COVID-19 lockdown. The foundation received widespread support, amassing approximately Rs. 2 crores in donations from across India. This included a significant Rs. 1 crore contribution from Vijay himself, labelled “Middle Class Funds.” Expressing his sincere appreciation, Vijay thanked all the donors who enabled the TDF to support over 6,000 families during this critical period.
