‘Youth’ Wins Big, Sharwanand Cheers Tollywood
The Tamil youthful entertainer “Youth”, featuring Ken Karunaas, Anishma Anil Kumar, Devadarshini Chetan, Sooraj Venjaramoodu, Priyanshi Yadav, and Meenakshi Dinesh in key roles, has emerged as a notable success. Following its impressive run in Tamil, the film was brought to Telugu audiences by producers Sandeep and Vineeth under the E2C banner. Directed by Ken Karunaas along with his team, the film has struck a strong chord with Telugu viewers as well.
Celebrating this success, the makers organized a grand blockbuster thank-you meet in Hyderabad, graced by charming star Sharwanand as the chief guest.
Speaking at the event, actor Chinna shared, “I played Ken’s friend in the film, and in real life too, he’s a very close friend. That makes this journey even more special. Our entire team worked with passion, and Sandeep and Vineeth matched that energy in bringing the film to Telugu audiences. They now feel like part of our gang.”
Executive producer Satish emphasized the power of content-driven cinema, stating, “Telugu audiences have once again proved that good content always wins. Many may have watched this film with friends—now it’s time to experience it with family.”
Producer Sandeep revealed an interesting anecdote, saying, “Sharwanand garu never attends events unless he genuinely likes the film. His presence here means a lot to us. Despite releasing the film in a short span, the response has been phenomenal. We’re seeing housefull boards even for morning shows, which is incredibly encouraging. ‘Youth’ conveys a beautiful message about understanding between parents and children. We urge youngsters to watch it with their families.”
He also announced a special initiative, encouraging audiences to watch the film with their parents and share their moments for a chance to win free tickets.
Producer Vineeth added, “Sharwanand garu’s support will definitely draw more family audiences to theaters. Interestingly, while promoting this film, we reconnected with our own friends who related deeply to the college-life moments shown in ‘Youth.’ We thank everyone who supported our journey.”
Actress Meenakshi Dinesh expressed her happiness, saying, “We didn’t expect such overwhelming love from Telugu audiences. The reception during our theater visits was truly heartwarming.”
Priyanshi Yadav called it a memorable milestone, adding, “This success means a lot to us. The love from Telugu audiences motivates us to keep doing better films.”
Hero-director Ken Karunaas shared his excitement, stating, “We are thrilled that ‘Youth’ succeeded not just in Tamil but also in Telugu. It’s special to see audiences from another state embrace our film. I played a fan of Prabhas in the movie, and his fans have shown us great support. Distributor and producer Dheeraj Mogilineni noted that the film is attracting both youth and family audiences, and expects collections to grow further over the weekend.
Director Vassishta said, “Though the film was already a success in Tamil, we were anxious about the Telugu release. But the response here has exceeded our expectations. Ken and his team have truly entertained everyone.”
Chief guest Sharwanand delivered a heartfelt speech, saying, “I heard ‘Youth’ was a big hit in Chennai, and now it’s doing exceptionally well in Telugu too. I congratulate the team for their effort.
