Want to get better with each film, Virupaksha is one such, says Samyuktha Menon
Sai Dharam Tej and Samyuktha’s ‘Virupaksha’ which has gained positive response for its theatrical trailer released recently is going to hit the screens on April 21.
Virupaksha is Samyuktha’s second Telugu film this year after blockbuster ‘SIR’ with Actor Dhanush. Samyuktha plays the role of a village girl in this thriller.
Samyuktha shared her experience with the film crew and her views of the film in an interview. She says she want to get better with each film. Interview in her words..
As you have seen in the trailer Virupaksha is set in a fictional village ‘Rudravaram’ located on a hilltop in the forest. The story takes place in a temple of the village. Coming to my character ‘Nandini’ she is an arrogant and straight forward village woman.
Virupaksha is a horror thriller induced with a lot of commercial elements. Nandini has to look beautiful and my team took care of it. Film’s screenplay writer Sukumar gar complimented me on the stage for that. The film is set in 1990s and my attire is made to suit that period.
I believe my efforts for the movie have paid off given the output. My performance has received appreciations from many. Cinematographer Shamdat’s appreciation for my role made me emotional.
To get into the skin of the character and the way she speaks I was trained by a tutor in Telugu language. Every character in the movie is neatly crafted and placed. Even the birds and animals have specific purpose in the film.
Sai Dharam Tej has put a lot of efforts for the movie. It was not an easy task for him to regain strength after the road accident. He is a jovial person and makes everyone on the set comfortable with his presence.
About ‘Devil’ with Nandamuri Kalyanram, Samyuktha said that the shoot has been completed recently. Right now, I am eager to see how people are going to receive my character in Virupaksha. Suggestions will help me choose that subjects that I fit well into.
Virupaksha is directed by writer-director Karthik Varma Dandu and the screenplay is written by ace director Sukumar. The film features actor-comedian Sunil, Brahmaji and others.
