Vishwaksen Unveils Power-Packed First Look of #CULT,
Mass Ka Das Vishwaksen is once again pushing creative boundaries—this time with a project that is as audacious as it is deeply personal. Known for fearlessly wearing multiple hats as an actor, director, producer, and writer in films like Falaknuma Das and Das Ka Dhamki, Vishwaksen now takes his cinematic ambition to the next level with his upcoming film #CULT.
Produced by Sandeep Kakarala under the banner of Tarak Cinemas, #CULT is entirely driven by Vishwaksen’s vision, with the actor helming the story, screenplay, and direction. Touted as India’s first slasher film, the project promises a bold, raw, and unconventional experience—something Tollywood has never explored before. The makers today unveiled the film’s striking first-look poster, instantly grabbing attention.
The poster features Vishwaksen dressed sharply in a suit, striding forward with a cigarette dangling from his lips. His intense, brooding expression amplifies the sinister undertone, while a blood-stained axe clutched in his hand signals unfiltered violence. Each step leaves behind a thick pool of blood on a glossy surface, creating a chilling visual impact. Stylish, gritty, and unapologetically bold, the first look sets the tone for a brutal cinematic ride. The much-anticipated teaser, offering a glimpse into the dark world of #CULT, will be unveiled on February 21.
Adding to the film’s ambition, #CULT marks the debut of 40 fresh faces, making it one of the most daring launchpads in recent times. The ensemble cast also includes Gayatri Bharadwaj, Tarak Ponnapa, Murali Sharma, Srikanth Iyenger, Karthikeya, Anirudh Bhaskar, EZY, Yagnya Turlapati, Kabeer Bhartiya, Vishak Nair, and Chepuri Vivek in prominent roles.
Backing Vishwaksen’s vision is a formidable technical crew that brings serious creative firepower. The dialogues are penned by Tharun Bhascker, whose sharp and distinctive writing is expected to add depth and edge to the narrative. The music is composed by Ravi Basrur, known for crafting pulsating, larger-than-life soundscapes. Cinematography is handled by Arvind Vishwanathan, with Ravi Teja Girijala overseeing editing and Arvind Mule spearheading production design—together elevating the film’s scale and intensity.
Designed with global audiences in mind, #CULT is gearing up for a multilingual release in Telugu, Hindi, Japanese, Spanish, and English. With its universal theme, bold storytelling, and genre-defining ambition, the film aims to transcend regional boundaries and make a strong mark on the international stage.
