Vishnu Vinyaasam Is a Perfect Family Entertainer to Enjoy Together in Theatres; Two Hours of Pure Laughter: King of Entertainment Sree Vishnu
King of Entertainment Sri Vishnu is gearing up to entertain audiences with his upcoming film Vishnu Vinyaasam, a family-friendly comedy directed by Yadunath Maruthi Rao and produced by Sumanth Naidu G under Sri Subrahmanyeshwara Cinemas. Ahead of the film’s worldwide release on February 27, Sri Vishnu interacted with the media and shared insights in a Q & A format.
Q: Do you believe in astrology, numerology, or planetary beliefs?
Sri Vishnu: I don’t strictly follow everything. I casually follow a few things that we grow up seeing around us, but personally, I don’t believe in fixed lucky numbers or specific timings.
Q: How did Vishnu Vinyaasam take shape?
Sri Vishnu: Director Maruthi narrated the story to me, and I loved it instantly. It’s very relatable, has a strong character, and most importantly, it’s a film families can watch together and laugh happily. We decided to start it right away.
Q: The heroine’s role seems quite dominant in the film. Is that true?
Sri Vishnu: Absolutely. Audiences will enjoy that characterization a lot. Her dominance actually creates problems for my character, and that leads to a lot of fun. Viewers will connect strongly with it, and the humour flows naturally from that conflict.
Q: How was Nayan Sarika’s performance?
Sri Vishnu: She was fantastic. She even performed two to three pages of scenes in single takes. Her performance will definitely stand out, and audiences will connect with her character very well.
Q: What kind of audience connect can we expect in both halves?
Sri Vishnu: The first half connects more with youth, while the second half connects strongly with both youth and family audiences. The family comedy in the second half will be especially enjoyable.
Q: How is your character different in this film?
Sri Vishnu: This kind of role is new for me. My character follows certain rules and beliefs, which makes it very interesting. It adds a fresh layer to the comedy.
Q: How was director Maruthi’s handling of the film?
Sri Vishnu: He handled it really well. He has great clarity and a strong grip on editing. Also, having experienced technicians on board worked as a big advantage for the film.
Q: Tell us about the music?
Sri Vishnu: Radhan gave us excellent music. All the songs come naturally from the story and are filled with fun. Since he wasn’t available for the background score, Suresh Bobbili handled it, and the BGM has come out wonderfully.
Q: Will your trademark punch dialogues be there?
Sri Vishnu: Yes, everything will be there. But audiences will also notice a slightly different timing this time. The character itself feels very fresh and entertaining.

Q: Any special comedy highlights in the film?
Sri Vishnu: I play a lecturer in the film, and there’s a sequence called “Veeri Veeri Gummadi Pandu” that will make the entire theatre burst into laughter. Even the interval block is unexpectedly entertaining, with strong situational comedy.
Q: How do you feel about back-to-back OTT deals being completed?
Sri Vishnu: Not just two—three more films have also completed their deals. It makes me very happy when producers feel secure even before release. I always want producers to recover their investment, and seeing that happen consistently feels great.
Q: Producers said your film got a solo release because of you. What’s your take?
Sri Vishnu: It’s a sensitive matter. I did struggle for a couple of days thinking about how to balance things. Producers understood my perspective. OTT is one reason, but there’s another reason I can’t reveal now. I’ll talk about it after the release.
Q: How was the support from producers?
Sri Vishnu: Subramanyam garu and Sumanth garu gave us 100% support. They were very happy with the film and gave us complete freedom. We even finished the movie 10–15% under the planned budget.
Q: What are your upcoming projects?
Sri Vishnu: Comrade Kalyan has completed about 80% of its shoot and is very fresh. A new film with Ram Abbaraju will start soon. I’m also doing an interesting project with a new director under Sithara Entertainments, and a sequel is being written as well.
Q: You’re doing films at a fast pace. What’s the reason?
Sri Vishnu: All my stories are rooted in familiar, middle-class settings and characters we see around us. Such films don’t take years to make. They can be completed comfortably in 60–70 days.
Q: Comedy is tough to pull off. How do you approach it?
Sri Vishnu: Comedy is definitely difficult. But since we focus more on situational comedy, it works well and feels organic.
Q: How is your comedy track with Satya in the film?
Sri Vishnu: I’ve worked with Satya before. In this film, he appears as my co-lecturer. The combination is very fun and entertaining.
Q: Finally, what kind of experience will audiences get from Vishnu Vinyaasam?
Sri Vishnu: For two hours, audiences can relax and laugh freely. It’s a feel-good entertainer that families can enjoy together. It’s perfect for a happy weekend watch.
