‘Viplava Veerudu’ Goes on Floors with Grand Pooja Ceremony

The shooting of Viplava Veerudu, a historical film that powerfully depicts the heroic role of common people in India’s freedom struggle, has officially begun with a grand pooja ceremony held at the sacred Filmnagar Temple.
Directed by S. Nagaraj Rao, the film stars Indraja in a crucial role, with Jaiswar and Sonali Setti as the lead pair. The project is being produced by AV Jayaram under the banner of AVJR Productions. Renowned writer Paruchuri Gopalakrishna gave the first clap for the muhurat shot, formally inaugurating the shoot.
Speaking at the launch, Indraja said,
“This film presents a realistic and emotionally powerful story set during the freedom struggle. It highlights how ordinary people actively participated in the independence movement. The narrative revolves around a common man who evolves into a revolutionary hero and fights fearlessly for the nation. I am portraying the role of Rani Bhavani Devi. The story shows how Indians confronted British rule. Producer Jayaram is making this film with great responsibility and a meaningful message. I seek everyone’s blessings.”
Hero Jaiswar expressed his confidence, stating,
“I will be seen as Viplava Veerudu, a character that is very close to my heart. I strongly believe this film will leave a lasting impact on audiences.”
Making her debut, heroine Sonali Setti shared,
“I am thankful for this wonderful opportunity. This is my first film, and I humbly seek the support and blessings of everyone.”
Director S. Nagaraj Rao said,
“This is my dream project. We are presenting a compelling historical story set during the British era. Indraja garu plays a very significant and impactful role in the film.”
Producer AV Jayaram revealed key details about the backdrop, saying,
“The story is set during the time of Tipu Sultan. The film portrays how the British exploited India under the guise of trade and the consequences that followed. It is a film with a strong message and historical relevance.”
Actor Patel Ashok Reddy remarked,
“The freedom we enjoy today is the result of countless sacrifices made by unsung warriors. This film brings such forgotten heroes to the silver screen.”
