Vedurupaka Inspired Me to Make ‘Ellamma’: Rockstar Devi Sri Prasad
The excitement surrounding the prestigious film Ellamma, which marks the acting debut of Rockstar Devi Sri Prasad, is growing day by day. Recently, Devi Sri Prasad visited his native village Vedurupaka and immersed himself in the traditions, emotions, and vibrant festive spirit that reflect the soul of the film.
During the village fair celebrations, DSP visited his family home and spent quality time interacting warmly with the villagers while participating in the festive atmosphere. He also shared an emotional video on social media that beautifully captured the memories, cultural richness, and heartfelt essence of the village.
Speaking on the occasion, Devi Sri Prasad said,
“Vedurupaka is the village where my father was born. Since childhood, my family would often bring us here from Chennai so we could experience the beauty of nature and rural life. To stay connected to our roots and the people here, we even built a beautiful house in the village. This is the place that taught me the beauty of culture, folk traditions, and spirituality. Those very emotions became the inspiration behind making Ellamma.”
The video beautifully showcases DSP’s deep emotional bond with his roots while also offering audiences a glimpse into the emotionally rich and culturally rooted world of Ellamma.
The film is presented by noted producer Dil Raju and directed by Venu Yeldandi. Produced by Shirish under the banner of Sri Venkateswara Creations, Ellamma is gearing up for a grand multilingual release in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada.
