With the release of its teaser, Saiyaara—produced by Yash Raj Films (YRF) and directed by Mohit Suri—has swiftly become one of the most anticipated romantic films of 2025. This collaboration between YRF and Mohit Suri, both known for crafting unforgettable love stories, is drawing widespread acclaim for its emotionally charged narrative and the fresh, undeniable chemistry between its lead debutants.
Today, YRF unveiled the film’s title track, Saiyaara, and Mohit Suri shared that the album is deeply personal to him. It features “songs, thoughts, and melodies” he has collected and cherished over the past five years.
Mohit explains, “Only a few of my close friends know this about me—I love discovering new composers and singers. I collect melodies and songs the way some people collect books. The music of Saiyaara is a result of that passion. It’s a compilation of what I’ve gathered and curated over five years.”
He wanted the soundtrack to bring a fresh wave of soulful, romantic music to the audience—something truly special for a debut film.
“I set out to create a unique and heartfelt romantic album for this debut film,” Mohit continues. “Every track on the album is close to my heart. That’s why we’re kicking off the film’s promotions with the title track. It’s a song full of love and longing—I was instantly captivated by it.”
The title track of Saiyaara also marks the Bollywood debut of two promising musical talents from Kashmir. Mohit shares, “We’re introducing Faheem Abdullah and Arslan Nizami—two gifted composers and singers from Kashmir—through this track. The music has been composed by the brilliant Tanishk Bagchi, who also brought Faheem and Arslan to my attention. The lyrics are penned by none other than Irshad Kamil, a master of poetic expression.”
He adds, “We have an exceptional lineup of artists who’ve contributed to this first track. I genuinely hope it becomes a romantic anthem people hold close to their hearts for years to come.”
Saiyaara marks the launch of Ahaan Panday as a lead actor in Hindi cinema, and stars Aneet Padda—who wowed audiences with her performance in the acclaimed series Big Girls Don’t Cry—as the female lead. The film is produced by YRF CEO Akshaye Widhani and is set to hit theatres worldwide on July 18, 2025.
