Telugu Director AS Ravi Kumar Chowdary Passes Away Due to Heart Attack
Renowned Telugu filmmaker AS Ravi Kumar Chowdary, best known for directing films like Yagnam, Bhai, and Pilla Nuvvu Leni Jeevitham, passed away last night following a heart attack. The director had reportedly been battling health issues for some time.
Ravi Kumar Chowdary made a striking debut with Yagnam, featuring Gopichand, which earned him recognition in the Telugu film industry. He went on to direct several notable projects, including Veerabhadra with Nandamuri Balakrishna and Pilla Nuvvu Leni Jeevitham, which marked the debut of Sai Dharam Tej.
His filmography also includes titles like Soukhyam, Aatadista, and several others. While not all of his films were box office successes, many of them remain memorable for their engaging storytelling and popular soundtracks that resonated with audiences.
Ravi Kumar’s most recent directorial venture was Tiragabadara Swamy, starring Raj Tarun. It is reported that he had been living alone in recent times.
He is survived by his wife and children. The film industry and his fans mourn the loss of a director who contributed significantly to Telugu cinema during his career.
