SV Krishna Reddy’s Vedavyas Introduces New Hero Pidugu Vishwanath
Renowned director SV Krishna Reddy, who has delivered several blockbuster wholesome family entertainers in Telugu cinema, is gearing up with his 43rd directorial venture titled Vedavyas. The film is presented by noted producer K. Achireddy and produced under the Sai Pragathi Films banner by prominent businessman and politician Kommuri Pratap Reddy.
Adding a special highlight to the project, South Korean actress Jun Hyun Ji makes her Telugu debut as the female lead. On the occasion of producer K. Achireddy’s birthday, the makers grandly introduced the film’s hero Pidugu Vishwanath on Tuesday evening, along with birthday celebrations. The event was held at Film Nagar Cultural Center, Hyderabad, with senior actor Saikumar attending as the chief guest.
Saikumar Speaks
Actor Saikumar said that this is the first time he is acting in a film produced by Achireddy and directed by SV Krishna Reddy, though he had earlier given dubbing for their first dubbed film Surya The Great.
“I’ve always shared a strong bond with Achireddy garu and Krishna Reddy garu. I’ve dubbed for many of their films, but acting never worked out until now. I’m happy that Vedavyas gave me this opportunity. I play a meaningful role named Veda Narayana in this film. They say knowledge is divine, and this film conveys the importance of not forgetting our cultural roots. SV Krishna Reddy garu is crafting this as a film that the entire family can watch together,” he said.
Saikumar further added that Achireddy garu earlier introduced his son Aadi with Prema Kavali, and watching Vishwanath being introduced as a hero today gave him the same happiness. He wished the film great success and hoped Vishwanath would earn a strong name as a hero.
Pidugu Subbarao’s Emotional Words
Pidugu Subbarao, father of the hero, expressed immense joy over his son Vishwanath being launched as a hero in the prestigious Achireddy–SV Krishna Reddy combination.
“There has never been a happier moment in my life. I sincerely thank Krishna Reddy garu and Achireddy garu for this wonderful opportunity,” he said.
Journalist Prabhu Shares a Personal Note
Senior journalist Prabhu spoke emotionally, stating that despite working as PRO for many star heroes, he had never worked for films made by Achireddy and Krishna Reddy earlier.
“Recently, I went through a personal tragedy. With a big heart, Achireddy garu and Krishna Reddy garu brought me on board as the PRO for Vedavyas to help me stay engaged and positive. This itself shows their humanity. Krishna Reddy garu narrated the story to me, and I strongly believe he is bringing a powerful film to audiences,” Prabhu said.
Hero Pidugu Vishwanath’s Statement
Hero Pidugu Vishwanath expressed his gratitude, saying,
“I consider it my fortune to be introduced as a hero through a film directed by SV Krishna Reddy garu and presented by Achireddy garu. I thank the entire team for supporting me to perform and look my best on screen. I’m also thankful to Neeraja Kona and Trikoti garu for giving me opportunities earlier as an assistant director.”
Producer K. Achireddy on Vedavyas
Producer K. Achireddy revealed that SV Krishna Reddy worked on the script with great dedication for nearly five to six years.
“He wanted everything to be fresh and unique. He personally went to Korea to audition and select Jun Hyun Ji as the heroine. When I asked if our audience would accept a Korean actress, he confidently said they would accept the character, not her nationality. He also selected the villain from Mongolia and felt a fresh face would suit the hero’s role, leading to Vishwanath’s selection. Watching the film, we realized how accurate his judgment was,” Achireddy stated.
He added that Saikumar’s role as Veda Narayana would earn him immense appreciation and that Vishwanath’s performance would surprise audiences. He also praised producer Kommuri Pratap Reddy for backing the film, impressed by its message of spreading knowledge across the world.
Director SV Krishna Reddy Concludes
Director SV Krishna Reddy said he is extremely happy to introduce Vishwanath as a hero.
“He performed brilliantly in every scene and delivered impressive fight sequences. I’m saying this confidently because I directed the film. Vishwanath will earn a good name as a hero. Saikumar garu’s performance gave me great satisfaction as a director. Our Korean heroine learned Telugu and dubbed for herself, while the Mongolian villain also delivered a strong performance. Vedavyas highlights the greatness of Indian culture and traditions. What we shared today is only a small glimpse—the rest must be experienced on screen,” he concluded.
