Suriya Thanks Audiences for ‘Vishwanath & Sons’ Success
Tamil star Suriya’s latest family entertainer ‘Vishwanath & Sons’, directed by Venky Atluri, is receiving a strong response from audiences across the country. Released worldwide on August 14, 2026, the film has been appreciated for its engaging writing, natural humour, emotional depth and strong performances.
Starring Suriya and Mamitha Baiju in the lead roles, the film also features Radhika Sarathkumar and Raveena Tandon in pivotal characters. Presented by Srikara Studios and produced by Suryadevara Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya under Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas, the film has music by G. V. Prakash Kumar.
To celebrate the film’s success, the makers organised a grand success press meet at ITC Kohenur, Hyderabad. Renowned filmmaker Trivikram Srinivas attended the event as the chief guest, while Suriya, Raveena Tandon, Venky Atluri and other members of the team shared their happiness over the film’s reception.
Trivikram Srinivas: “The Real Heroes of ‘Vishwanath & Sons’ Are the Audiences”
Speaking at the event, Trivikram Srinivas congratulated the entire team and said that ‘Vishwanath & Sons’ is a special film that successfully brings the family genre back to the forefront.
He praised Suriya’s performance and said that playing the character with restraint required tremendous skill. He also appreciated Venky Atluri’s writing and execution, stating that several scenes from the film could remain memorable for years to come.
Trivikram particularly praised Radhika Sarathkumar, Raveena Tandon and Mamitha Baiju for their performances, describing them as important pillars of the film. He said Raveena’s role was strikingly different from her real-life personality and praised her natural performance.
Speaking about Suriya, Trivikram said that his popularity among women is exceptional and humorously remarked that Suriya and Mahesh Babu are among the few heroes whose age seems to move backwards.
He also recalled the popularity of Suriya’s Sanjay Ramaswamy character from ‘Ghajini’, noting that the character remains memorable among both Tamil and Telugu audiences.
Trivikram further said that there are no longer rigid boundaries between Tamil, Telugu and Hindi cinema, as all industries are now part of a larger Indian cinema movement. He congratulated the entire team and concluded by saying, “The real heroes of this film are the audiences.”

Talking about the diverse team behind ‘Vishwanath & Sons’, Suriya said that the film brought together people from different regions and linguistic backgrounds. He noted that Venky and Vamsi are from the Telugu states, while he comes from Tamil Nadu, Mamitha Baiju from Kerala and Raveena Tandon from Maharashtra.
Despite their different backgrounds, the team united to make a good film, and audiences across regions have embraced it.

Raveena Tandon expressed her happiness over being part of the film’s success celebration and thanked audiences for making the film a success.
She praised director Venky Atluri as a humble and talented filmmaker who knows how to bring out the best in his actors. She described the film as an emotional and beautiful journey.
Raveena also recalled the fun atmosphere on the sets, saying that the shoot felt like a picnic. She praised Suriya’s immense popularity and revealed that some of her friends would visit the sets just to meet him.
She also congratulated producer Naga Vamsi for standing strongly behind the entire team and supporting the film.
Venky Atluri: “Suriya Sir Carried This Film on His Shoulders”
Director Venky Atluri thanked audiences for embracing the film despite the changing trends in Indian cinema.
He revealed that when he wrote the story, action, dark humour, horror and devotional films were dominating the industry. According to Venky, making a family entertainer at that stage could have been considered a risky decision, but producer Naga Vamsi never discouraged him.
Venky also credited Trivikram Srinivas for his constant encouragement and support. He said Trivikram treated the project like his own and played an important role in giving the team confidence.
