‘Sri Chidambaram Garu’ Set for Worldwide Theatrical Release on February 6
Presented by Mrs. Chinta Varalakshmi under the banner of Sri Chakras Entertainment, Sri Chidambaram Garu is produced by Chinta Vinesh Reddy and Chinta Gopala Krishna Reddy, with Chinta Rajashekhar Reddy serving as co-producer. The film is written and directed by Vinay Ratnam.
Popular producer-distributor Vamsi Nandipati is releasing the film theatrically. Featuring Vamsi Tummala and Sandhya Vashisht in the lead roles, the film has already created a positive buzz with its recently released teaser, which received an unexpectedly overwhelming response from audiences.
Adding to the film’s growing anticipation is the soulful song “Velle Daarilo”, rendered by legendary music director M.M. Keeravani. Composed by Chandu Ravi with heartfelt lyrics penned by Chandrashekhar, the song has struck an emotional chord with listeners. Keeravani garu’s timeless voice has elevated the melody, breathing soul into the composition and making it one of the film’s highlights.
Following the success of the song, the team held a press meet in Hyderabad on Friday, where they officially announced that ‘Sri Chidambaram Garu’ will release worldwide in theatres on February 6.
RP Patnaik (Chief Guest):
“This is a beautifully made film by a young and passionate team. It’s heartening to see so many music directors sharing the stage today. Ravi and Chandu deserve special appreciation for convincing a legendary composer like Keeravani garu to sing for this film. The story is mature, inspiring, and extremely relevant to today’s society, where youngsters often take extreme steps over small issues. This film teaches us that our weaknesses can become our greatest strengths. Vamsi’s performance—especially his expressive eyes—is outstanding. I wish the entire team great success.”
Music Directors Chandu & Ravi:
“We are grateful to Vamsi Nandipati garu for introducing us to the Sri Chidambaram Garu team and director Vinay Ratnam. This film conveys its message with purity and honesty. Getting Keeravani garu to sing for our composition was a joyous and unforgettable experience. Watching him sing with such passion was truly delightful.”
Producer Chinta Gopala Krishna Reddy:
“This is my fifth film, made with the intention of encouraging new talent. I did not compromise on production values—the film matches the standards of big-budget cinema. Vamsi Nandipati garu has supported this project from day one and is now releasing it across the Telugu states. This is a strong, content-driven film that I made with immense love and belief.”
Heroine Sandhya Vashisht:
“I play the role of Leela in this film. The teaser and songs have received a very encouraging response. The story has a beautiful, feel-good tone with a Malayalam cinema sensibility. Chandu and Ravi’s music has given life to the film, and Keeravani garu’s rendition of Velle Daarilo has taken the song to another level. This film will definitely bring us meaningful recognition as artists.”
Hero Vamsi Tummala:
“Music has elevated our film to a completely new level. Having Keeravani garu—who sang for an Oscar-winning song—lend his voice to our film is a blessing. RP Patnaik garu’s acting inspired me to focus on subtle expressions. Our producer loved the film deeply and ensured uncompromised quality throughout. Sri Chidambaram Garu is the first film Vamsi Nandipati garu chose to release in 2026, and it promises to be an emotionally rich cinematic journey.”
Director Vinay Ratnam:
“The driving force behind this film is our producer, Gopala Krishna garu. Every song in this film touches the heart. During the final mixing, I couldn’t hold back my tears while watching it. We’ve poured our hearts into this project, and I sincerely hope audiences will support and encourage our film.”
