Sharwa–Sampath Nandi’s Pan-India Period Actioner Bhogi Begins Power-Packed Action Schedule
Charming Star Sharwanand, riding high on the success of his Sankranthi blockbuster Nari Nari Naduma Murari, has joined hands for the first time with mass action specialist Sampath Nandi for an ambitious pan-India period action drama titled Bhogi.
Produced by KK Radhamohan under the banner of Sri Sathya Sai Arts and presented by Lakshmi Radhamohan, the film is being mounted on a truly massive scale, promising a never-before-seen cinematic experience.
Earlier, the makers unveiled a striking concept video titled First Spark, offering a glimpse into the raw, intense world of Bhogi. True to its name, the video left a fiery first impression, sparking strong buzz and excitement across audiences and industry circles alike.
After completing an initial schedule that included key talkie portions featuring Sharwa and other principal cast members, the team has now kick-started a crucial action-packed schedule in Hyderabad. A massive, specially erected set has been created for this leg of the shoot, which will feature two large-scale, high-octane action episodes choreographed by renowned stunt master Dilip Subbarayan. Sharwa will be shooting continuously without breaks until the completion of this extensive schedule.
A striking monochrome still from the sets has already grabbed attention. It features Sharwa standing on a road, gripping a hammer over his shoulder, his silhouette drenched in smoke, grit, and menace. Standing opposite him are director Sampath Nandi and action director Dilip Subbarayan—an image that perfectly captures the intense, rugged, and action-driven soul of the film.
Set against the turbulent socio-cultural backdrop of the 1960s, Bhogi dives deep into a world filled with raw emotions, layered conflicts, and high-voltage drama. Sampath Nandi has crafted a powerful narrative rooted in rustic authenticity, presenting larger-than-life moments with strong emotional grounding.
Marking one of the boldest and most expensive projects of Sharwa’s career, the actor has undergone a complete physical and stylistic transformation for the role. Anupama Parameswaran and Dimple Hayathi play the female leads, with their characters designed to balance intensity and elegance within the narrative.
The film’s rich period detailing and rustic visual canvas are being shaped under the supervision of art director Kiran Kumar Manne. Cinematography is handled by Kishore Kumar Arokia, who brings the vintage 1960s atmosphere alive on screen, while blockbuster composer Bheems Ceciroleo scores the music. Bhogi is gearing up for a grand pan-India release in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi, setting the stage for a thunderous cinematic spectacle.
