Sai Durga Tej Unveils “Discover Andhra,” Calls for Protecting Culture & Nature

“We Must Protect Our Culture and Nature” — Supreme Hero Sai Durga Tej at the Discover Andhra Title & Glimpse Launch

A visually rich and emotionally stirring documentary titled “Discover Andhra” has been crafted under the guidance of Navadeep Pallapolli and Sai Durga Tej, with the support of the Andhra Pradesh Forest Department and AP Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan. Directed by Srikanth Mannepuri and jointly produced by Padala Surender Reddy and Sravya Koonam, the project aims to shine a spotlight on Andhra Pradesh’s hidden natural treasures.

The grand launch event of the film’s title and first glimpse took place on Saturday, graced by several prominent personalities and nature enthusiasts.

Sai Durga Tej: “We must protect our culture and our nature”

Addressing the gathering, Supreme Hero Sai Durga Tej expressed heartfelt gratitude and deep admiration for the documentary’s vision:

“My sincere thanks to everyone who came here today for Srikanth. I’m truly grateful to him for showcasing Andhra Pradesh so beautifully. People will be astonished to discover the wonders around us that we often overlook.

He went on to share how his journey into wildlife conservation began:

“Back in 2020, I developed a strong inclination toward wildlife protection. A friend and I launched an NGO called Green Pass, through which we clean beaches and work to protect coastal and bird life. Safeguarding the wildlife around us is not just an act of kindness—it is our responsibility.”

Tej also highlighted how environmental themes have been a consistent part of his work:

“In my film Republic, we stressed the importance of environmental conservation. This documentary powerfully showcases the wildlife of our region. We must protect our culture and nature. I wish Srikanth great success and congratulate the entire team. I’m also glad that music director Mani Sharma has supported this project. I hope the media and audiences encourage such meaningful initiatives.”

Navadeep: “Andhra’s wildlife will surprise the world”

Actor Navadeep, one of the earliest supporters of the project, shared his experience:

“Srikanth started this wildlife journey back in 2014. When he showed me the documentary shot entirely in Andhra Pradesh, I was stunned. After spending a day in the forest, experiencing wildlife up-close, it felt like my mind had reset.”

He emphasized how modern society often harms the very creatures it shares space with:

“Despite co-existing with them, we end up hurting them. Srikanth is committed to showcasing Andhra’s wildlife treasures, and I supported him as much as I could.”

Navadeep also explained how Sai Durga Tej came on board:

“When Tej saw the visuals, he was deeply moved. He immediately spoke to Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan garu, who ensured all the required support. Srikanth has worked tirelessly for years to present Andhra’s hidden wonders in a way every Telugu person will feel proud of. His 72-minute documentary will leave audiences amazed, making them ask, ‘Do we truly have such wonders in our state?’”

Director Srikanth Mannepuri: “My dream is for people to think of Andhra when they think of wildlife”

Director Srikanth Mannepuri expressed his passion for nature and the journey that led to Discover Andhra:

“After my graduation, I spent years researching wildlife. Everyone talked about wildlife from other places, but no one focused on Telugu states. While volunteering with the Forest Department, I discovered many fascinating aspects of our own land.”

Srikanth shared how the project was born out of a deep desire to create awareness:

“Andhra Pradesh is home to extraordinary natural wonders. I wanted people to understand what we already have here. My dream is that when someone hears the word ‘wildlife,’ they should immediately think of ‘Andhra.’”

He concluded with gratitude:

“Today we revealed only the title and a small glimpse. The upcoming trailer will mesmerize everyone. I wholeheartedly thank Pawan Kalyan garu, Navadeep garu, and Sai Durga Tej garu for their incredible support, and my special thanks to music director Mani Sharma garu.”
