Telangana Film Chamber of Commerce Chairman Prathani Ramakrishna Goud is producing and directing an inspiring sports drama titled Mahila Kabaddi under his RK Films banner. The film brings together reel and real champions, featuring Indian Women’s Kabaddi Team Vice-Captain Pooja Narwal, Indian Kabaddi Team Coach Srinivas Reddy, senior actor Suman, along with Aksa Khan, Tulasi, and seven real-life kabaddi players in pivotal roles.
The film’s details were unveiled at a grand press meet held in Hyderabad, where the cast and crew shared their excitement about this unique women-centric sports project.

Coach Srinivas Reddy highlighted that Pooja Narwal is a Women’s Kabaddi World Cup gold medalist and an accomplished international player. Currently serving as a coach for the Indian team, he has also worked in the Pro Kabaddi League.
He revealed that the much-awaited Women’s Pro Kabaddi League is set to launch soon, which will open new doors for aspiring female players.
Speaking about Mahila Kabaddi, he said Dr. RK Goud approached him for the project, and he was happy to contribute both as an actor and technical advisor. Since the film revolves around women’s kabaddi, involving a real champion like Pooja Narwal added authenticity. He emphasized that after cricket, kabaddi enjoys massive popularity in India, and women players are proving their mettle on national and international stages.

The story of Mahila Kabaddi revolves around a poor village girl who overcomes hardships to achieve national and international fame in kabaddi. The film will feature real kabaddi players and strictly adhere to official kabaddi rules to maintain authenticity. Srinivas Reddy will be seen portraying a coach in the movie.
The film will be made in Telugu and Hindi, targeting a Pan-India release. Along with Aksa Khan, another hero and heroine have been finalized. Senior actors Amani and Indraja are also part of the ensemble cast.
Script work has been completed, and songs have already been recorded by popular singers Mangli and Madhu Priya. The team is confident about the strong script and soulful music, with the film set to go on floors soon.
