Pushpa star Rashmika Mandanna has made her mark in Indian cinema alongside Allu Arjun. She has bagged a few opportunities after Pushpa The Rise and now there is another major opportunity that came her way.

According to reports, Rashmika has been roped in for the film based on Chatrapathi Shivaji’s son Chatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. The film is titled Chhava and the titular role will be played by Bollywood actor Vicky Kaushal.

Rashmika will play the role of Sambhajii Maharaj’s wife Esu Bai. The film portrays the life of Sambhaji Maharaj who is known for bravery, war strategies, and sacrifices for the people. In addition to these, the film will also show Rashmika’s character prominently as Sambhaji and Esu Bai jointly held the throne for a long time.

It is said both the wife and husband shared responsibilities when the latter was away from the capital during warfare.

Vicky and Rashmika will soon start attending classes to train their characters for the film. While Rashmika will have to learn the language, Vicky is going to learn sword fighting, horse riding and other acts required for war.
