Rashmika Gears Up for Brutal Action in ‘Mysa’
National crush Rashmika Mandanna is all set to take on one of the most challenging roles of her career with the pan-India action drama Mysa. The film has already generated strong buzz with its intense glimpse, hinting at a raw and powerful cinematic experience. Directed by Ravindra Pulle and produced by Unformula Films, Mysa promises a fresh and gripping narrative.
The makers have now begun a crucial 15-day shooting schedule in Kerala, focusing on high-voltage, brutal action sequences. Renowned action choreographer Kecha Khamphakdee is overseeing these sequences, which are expected to be one of the major highlights of the film. Rashmika, along with key cast members, is actively participating in this action-packed schedule.
In Mysa, Rashmika portrays a Gond tribal woman—a role that demands both emotional depth and physical strength. To prepare for this intense character, she underwent rigorous training in Bangkok under the supervision of international action director Andy Long. She reportedly trained for nearly eight hours a day, mastering advanced stunts, hand-to-hand combat, and high-speed action techniques.
Rashmika is set to surprise audiences with a never-seen-before avatar, showcasing a raw, rugged, and explosive performance that marks a significant transformation in her career.
The film also features notable actors including Eeshwari Rao, Guru Somasundaram, and Rao Ramesh in pivotal roles. Cinematography is handled by Shreyas P Krishna, while the music is composed by Jakes Bejoy. International stunt expert Andy Long is also supervising the action sequences, adding a global touch to the film’s execution.
