Ram Charan and His Dog Rhyme Make History at Madame Tussauds — A First Since Queen Elizabeth
Ram Charan Becomes First Indian Star to Be Honored with Pet in Wax
In a landmark moment for Indian cinema, global icon Ram Charan has been immortalized in wax at Madame Tussauds London — not just alone, but alongside his cherished pet dog, Rhyme. This unprecedented honor makes him the first Indian celebrity to be featured with a pet at the world-famous museum, and only the second person ever after Queen Elizabeth II.
The unveiling ceremony, held privately in London, was an emotional and intimate affair attended by Ram Charan’s close family and inner circle. While the family had initially planned to delay the announcement due to recent events, they ultimately felt the time was right to share this special milestone with the world as calm begins to return.
Ram Charan’s wax figure is dressed in the iconic black velvet bandhgala he wore to the 2023 Oscars — the historic night when “Naatu Naatu” became the first Indian song to win an Academy Award for Best Original Song. The statue captures not just a defining moment in global cinema but also a deeply personal aspect of Ram Charan’s life: his inseparable bond with Rhyme.
One of the most touching moments came when Ram Charan’s father, legendary actor Chiranjeevi, became visibly emotional during the event. Speaking as a proud father, he was joined by Ram Charan’s mother, Surekha, making the occasion even more meaningful for the family.
This unique installation celebrates not only Ram Charan’s towering achievements and widespread popularity but also highlights the emotional connection we share with our pets — a connection now enshrined forever in wax.
Fans can view the statue at Madame Tussauds London until May 19, after which it will be moved to Madame Tussauds Singapore for public display.
