“Raju Weds Rambai” Triumphs at Gaddar Awards 2025, Wins Four Major Honors Including Best Film
The cult rural blockbuster “Raju Weds Rambai” has added another glorious milestone to its journey by bagging four prestigious honors at the Gaddar Awards. The film, which received tremendous appreciation from audiences during its theatrical run and continued to gain popularity after its OTT release, has now been officially recognized for its remarkable impact.
At the awards ceremony, “Raju Weds Rambai” emerged as one of the biggest winners, securing accolades for Best Film, Best Director, Best Singer, and Special Jury Award, further cementing its place as one of the most celebrated films of the year.
Director Sailu Kompati was honored with the Best Director award for his compelling storytelling and authentic portrayal of rural life. Popular playback singer Anurag Kulkarni won the Best Singer award for his soulful contribution to the film’s soundtrack. Meanwhile, actor Chaitanya Jonnalagadda received the Special Jury Award for his impressive performance that resonated strongly with audiences.
“Raju Weds Rambai” was presented by Dr. Nageswara Rao Poojari and produced by Venu Udugula and Rahul Mopidevi under the banners Dolamukhi Subaltern Films and Monsoons Tales. The film was directed by Sailu Kompati, whose vision and narrative style played a key role in the movie’s success.
The film had a grand worldwide theatrical release through Vamsi Nandipati Entertainments and Bunny Vasu Works, with distribution handled by Vamsi Nandipati and Bunny Vasu.
