Brahmanandam Hails R. Narayana Murthy’s University Paper Leak Releasing August 22
Veteran actor-director R. Narayana Murthy is gearing up to release his latest hard-hitting social drama University Paper Leak on August 22. Known for addressing burning social issues through cinema, Murthy has once again crafted a film filled with powerful emotions and thought-provoking themes.
At a special preview screening, legendary comedy actor and Padma Shri awardee Brahmanandam was deeply moved by the film and showered immense praise on Murthy’s dedication.
Brahmanandam’s Emotional Speech
“A university is not just a place for education; it is a temple of knowledge that connects the universe. Once upon a time, India was home to renowned centers of learning like Banaras Hindu University, where students from across the world came to study. Today, sadly, our education system is plagued by corruption and malpractice. Murthy has researched these issues deeply and expressed his anguish through University Paper Leak.”
The actor described Narayana Murthy as a “man with a bee-like nature,” tirelessly collecting truths from society and sharing them with the people.
“If you ask me who the most beautiful person is, I will say Narayana Murthy. Beauty is not six-pack abs or glamorous looks. True beauty lies in compassion and service. For forty years, I have seen Murthy dedicate his life to the poor and the oppressed. He is not just an actor but a messenger who uses cinema to awaken society,” he added.
Brahmanandam was particularly touched by the father-son emotional thread in the film:
“The sacrifices of a father for his children, and the sacrifices children make for their parents—these emotions are portrayed with such depth. The film reflects how society cruelly plays with human emotions. It is not a glamorous fantasy but a mirror to reality. There are no vulgarities here—only the truths and struggles of life. Some dialogues are truly powerful, especially those about students carrying their books like Christ carrying the cross.”
He urged audiences to support the film, saying:
“Murthy is not making movies for money. He is making them for society, for the people. University Paper Leak highlights how paper leaks are destroying futures—producing doctors without knowledge and engineers without skill. This is a serious issue. Such honest films must be seen, understood, and encouraged.”
R. Narayana Murthy’s Gratitude
“In Telugu cinema, we have seen eras of legendary comedians like Kasturi Sivarao, Relangi, Allu Ramalingaiah, Padmanabham, and Rajababu. Today, we are blessed to witness the era of Brahmanandam—a great actor and master performer. That is why I invited him to launch my film’s logo and later requested him to watch the completed movie. Despite his busy schedule, he watched University Paper Leak and blessed me with his words of encouragement. For that, I bow my head in gratitude.”
Murthy concluded by appealing to audiences:
“On August 22, University Paper Leak will release in theatres. Please watch it and support it. If you feel it carries value, bless me with the strength to make many more such meaningful films.”
