Playing a character with three variations in ‘Ustad’ felt challenging – Hero Sri Simha Koduri
Talented young hero Sri Simha Koduri’s latest film is ‘Ustad‘. Kavya Kalyan Ram is the female lead while Rajini Korrapati, Rakesh Reddy Gaddam, Himank Reddy Duvvuru produced this movie under the direction of Phanideep under Varahi Cinema and Krishi Entertainments. The film is going for a grand release on August 12. On this occasion, hero Srisimha Koduri spoke to the media about the film. Excerpts here:
‘Ustad’ is the story okayed soon after ‘Mathuvadalara’ was confirmed. But due to delays, the film is releasing now.
Director Fanideep has designed the characters well. I will be seen in the role of a young man named Surya. Out of the four films I have done so far, this will have a different characterisation of mine. Emotions are also high. For me it is a movie that gave satisfaction as an actor. We call an expert in a skill as Ustad.
It is a Urdu word. Guru is also called Ustad. Coming to the subject of this movie, the hero can control his emotions with the help of a bike. A lot of things happen in the hero’s life because of a bike. That’s why the hero calls his bike Ustad. In the movie, the hero gets angry a lot and has no goal in life. The story is about how such a person fell on a right path with a bike.
While playing the role of a college boy, I lost weight by doing exercises and taking special diet. For another role, I grew a beard and hair. Gautham Vasudev Menon played a very important role. The audience will like his role very much. He will be seen in the role of a senior pilot who looks down on the juniors. His doing brought a newness to the character. Apart from that, our director is a big fan of him.
Appearing in three different characters seemed challenging. Choosing good stories is in my hands. It is a good thing to do films with different variations in the beginning of the career. When I have any doubts about the script selections, I ask Karthikeya and Bhairavanna. We took Kavya Kalyan Ram as the heroine before the release of Masooda. She played the role of a confusing girl who is not clear about what she wants. I am learning many things in terms of acting and others for the movies.
Director Phanideep is most passionate director. He is a person with clarity. I will accept new movies after the release of Ustad. For now, I am only hearing stories.
