‘Peddi’ Will Inspire Youth and Empower Villages: Ram Charan
Mega Power Star Ram Charan’s most-awaited action drama Peddi is generating tremendous buzz across the country. Directed by Buchi Babu Sana and produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru under the Vriddhi Cinemas banner, with Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings presenting, the film has already captivated audiences with its powerful glimpse, chartbuster songs, and impactful theatrical trailer. The much-anticipated film is set for a grand worldwide release on June 4, with special premiere shows scheduled for June 3.
Ahead of the release, the team held a grand press meet in New Delhi, where Ram Charan, Janhvi Kapoor, Boman Irani, Divyenndu Sharma, and producer Venkata Satish Kilaru interacted with the media and shared their excitement about the film.
Speaking at the event, Ram Charan said, “We have worked on this film with complete honesty and dedication for the last two and a half years. It has been a privilege to collaborate with an incredible team including director Buchi Babu, producer Satish Kilaru, legendary composer A.R. Rahman, Boman Irani, Divyenndu, and many others. Peddi is not just a commercial entertainer; it is a film that inspires people and celebrates the spirit of determination.”
The actor revealed an interesting conversation he had with Prime Minister Narendra Modi regarding the film. “When I recently met Prime Minister Modi ji in Delhi, he asked me what Peddi was about. I told him that it is a story centered on empowering villages and inspiring communities. He then shared an interesting incident from West Bengal, where he met a group of young football players from a remote village. They told him that nearly 40 years ago, a man from their village had represented India in football, and today almost 80 percent of the village’s youth play the sport. It showed how one individual’s achievement can inspire an entire generation. Peddi carries a similar spirit.”
Ram Charan further explained that the film follows the journey of a young man from a remote region who fights for his identity and dreams against all odds. “This is a story deeply rooted in our soil and culture. Many of India’s greatest athletes have emerged from rural and tribal regions. Peddi reflects that spirit of resilience and ambition. I want families and children to watch this film together because it has the power to inspire. It is designed as a large-scale theatrical experience that audiences can truly enjoy on the big screen.”
Janhvi Kapoor expressed her excitement about being part of the project. “I play a wonderful character that has been beautifully designed by Buchi Babu sir. Working with Ram Charan has been an incredible learning experience. His energy and commitment are truly inspiring. Peddi is a rooted Indian story made for Indian audiences, and I’m proud to be a part of it. We have all put our hearts into this film, and I hope families come together to watch it in theatres on June 4.”
Veteran actor Boman Irani praised the film’s team and leading star. “Ram Charan is an extraordinary performer. His energy, dedication, and passion for entertaining audiences are remarkable. Buchi Babu is an immensely passionate filmmaker, and I was instantly drawn to the story when he narrated it to me. Shooting for Peddi has been a memorable experience, and I believe audiences will connect deeply with the film.”
Actor Divyenndu Sharma, who makes his Telugu debut with Peddi, shared his enthusiasm about the project. “I am thrilled to enter Telugu cinema with such a prestigious film. Working alongside Ram Charan has been a privilege. The film has turned out even better than I imagined, and cinematographer Rathnavelu has created stunning visuals. Ram Charan’s portrayal of Peddi and the character’s struggle for identity will leave a lasting impact on audiences.”
Producer Venkata Satish Kilaru expressed pride in bringing the film to audiences. “Peddi is a very special film, and I feel honored to have produced it. Every member of the team worked with extraordinary commitment and passion. The film combines powerful emotions, entertainment, and grand visuals while staying deeply rooted in its core story. We invite audiences to experience it with their families in theatres.”
With its inspiring narrative, emotional depth, powerful performances, and grand cinematic scale, Peddi is gearing up to be one of the biggest theatrical events of the year when it hits screens worldwide on June 4.
