Pawan Kalyan Graces Varun Tej’s ‘Bhari’ Launch
Mega Prince Varun Tej’s upcoming film ‘Bhari’ was launched in a grand manner with a traditional pooja ceremony on Saturday. The film is being produced by Niharika Konidela under the Pink Elephant Pictures banner and directed by Yadu Vamsi. Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan graced the occasion as the chief guest, adding star power and significance to the launch event.
The muhurat shot was marked by Pawan Kalyan giving the ceremonial clap, while Mythri Movie Makers producer Naveen Yerneni switched on the camera. Director Merlapaka Gandhi and producer Rajeev Reddy handed over the script to the team, officially kickstarting the project.
Speaking at the event, Varun Tej expressed his happiness, saying,
“After my debut film Mukunda, my uncle Pawan Kalyan garu has once again attended the launch of my film. It’s truly special to begin ‘Bhari’ with his blessings. Working as a hero in a film produced by Niharika feels very special. We hadn’t planned to collaborate, but Vamsi’s script brought us together. I was impressed with the story and had complete confidence in the team. Pre-production is already complete, and I’ve even begun volleyball training for my role. We are planning to release the film during Sankranti.”
Producer Niharika Konidela shared her excitement, stating,
“My father has made films with our family members, and now I understand how special that experience is. Launching this film with my brother Varun Tej is truly emotional and memorable. I’m also delighted that my uncle Pawan Kalyan garu attended the launch. ‘Bhari’ is a village drama with a sports backdrop, and Vamsi has crafted a wonderful story. I’m happy to collaborate again with the Committee Kurrollu team. I want audiences to feel confident whenever they see the Pink Elephant Pictures banner, and I strongly believe this film will impress everyone.”

Director Yadu Vamsi revealed the journey behind the project, saying,
“After Committee Kurrollu, I worked on another script for nearly a year, but it didn’t materialize. During that phase, I developed an idea set against a volleyball backdrop, and Varun garu immediately came to mind. I approached Niharika again and narrated the story. Within three months, we completed the script and presented it to Varun garu, who loved it. Pre-production is done, and we are aiming for a quick shoot and a Sankranti release. Having Pawan Kalyan garu attend the launch came as a huge surprise and encouragement for our young team.”
Music director Anudeep Dev said,
“The music of ‘Bhari’ will have ten times the impact of Committee Kurrollu. Vamsi garu has excellent taste in music, and the film offers great scope for a powerful soundtrack. It’s going to be something special.”

Production designer Chinna added,
“I might be the only senior member in this young and energetic team. Niharika is a wonderful producer, and I’m happy to collaborate with Varun Tej. Vamsi’s confidence and storytelling are impressive. I strongly believe ‘Bhari’ will be a big hit during Sankranti.”
