‘Patang’ Trailer Launched: Deva Katta Predicts Blockbuster Success
The vibrant sports comedy ‘Patang’ is gearing up for a grand theatrical release on December 25, 2025. Impressed by the film’s final output, successful producer Suresh Babu is presenting the film under the prestigious Suresh Productions banner.
After creating strong buzz with its teaser, chartbuster songs, and engaging promotional content, Patang promises a wholesome cinematic experience. The film stars Preethi Pagadala, Vamssi Pujit, and Pranav Kaushik in lead roles, with Anu Hassan, S.P. Charan, Vadlamani Srinivas, Vishnu Oi, and Sivanarayana playing pivotal roles. The film also features exciting cameo appearances by Gautham Vasudev Menon, SS Kanchi, and Naveen, adding further curiosity among audiences.
Directed by Praneeth Prattipati, Patang is produced jointly by Vijay Shekhar, Sampath Maka, Suresh Kothinti, and Naani Bandreddi under the banners of Cinematic Elements, Rishaan Cinemas, and Monsoon Tales, in association with Ramya Vemulapati.
Deva Katta Applauds the Trailer
The trailer of Patang was launched at a grand event in Hyderabad by acclaimed director Deva Katta. Speaking on the occasion, he praised the film’s energy and appeal.
“The trailer feels extremely energetic and entertaining. I’m happy that Ramya is one of the producers of this film. I know Pranav from Sa Re Ga Ma Pa. This is a unique film made with tremendous effort. I felt super thrilled just watching the trailer. It has all the elements required for a superhit and a blockbuster,” Deva Katta said.
He further added,
“Patang has all the ingredients that connect strongly with today’s youth — friendship, love, and high musical energy. Every artist appears with great enthusiasm. I’m confident the film will definitely entertain audiences in theatres.”
Sharing a personal note, Deva Katta recalled his association with producer Nani Bandreddy:
“During Autonagar Surya, when the hero was still unknown, I released a voice teaser that received tremendous response. That teaser was edited by Nani with a voiceover by Pawan Kalyan. When Pawan Kalyan watched it, he called me asking if I had written that story for him. Without my knowledge, a special bond was formed with Nani. Today, I’m happy to be a guest at the launch of a film produced by him. The film clearly shows signs of becoming a hit, and I wish it brings great recognition to everyone involved.”
Team Shares Their Excitement
Co-producer Ramya Vemulapati said,
“Everyone has nostalgic memories of kite-flying competitions from childhood. Patang will offer audiences a fresh and realistic cinematic experience.”
Actor Vamssi Pujit shared his excitement:
“I just watched the trailer and felt it was mind-blowing. The kite competition sequences are brilliantly executed using VFX. The final 30-minute competition episode will be outstanding. My character, ‘Whisky’, is a pure Hyderabadi mass role. Everyone will love it. We believe this is one of the best films being delivered this year. It’s special that the film is releasing on my birthday, December 25.”
Lead actor Pranav Kaushik expressed his gratitude:
“This is my debut film, and most of the cast are newcomers. Making a film of this scale requires courage, and our producers showed that belief.
