“OG Will Entertain Everyone”: Power Star Pawan Kalyan at the Grand Pre-Release Event
“The last time I witnessed this kind of energy was during Kushi… and now I’m experiencing it again with OG,” said Power Star Pawan Kalyan, electrifying fans at the pre-release event of his upcoming action spectacle.
Directed by Sujeeth and produced by DVV Danayya and Kalyan Dasari under the prestigious DVV Entertainments banner, OG has already created waves across Indian cinema. Pawan Kalyan will be seen in a powerful avatar as Ojas, with Emraan Hashmi, Priyanka Arul Mohan, Prakash Raj, Shriya Reddy, and Arjun Das playing pivotal roles. Music is composed by Thaman, further raising expectations. Scheduled for a worldwide grand release on September 25, 2025, the film has firmly established itself as one of the most awaited Indian films of the year.
A Night of Frenzy at LB Stadium
On Sunday evening, Hyderabad’s LB Stadium turned into a sea of excitement as fans gathered in massive numbers for the grand pre-release event. The atmosphere was electric, with music director Thaman and his team delivering a dazzling live performance. The biggest highlight came when Pawan Kalyan himself sang the much-awaited track “Washi Yo Washi” live, driving fans into a frenzy. The exclusive unveiling of the OG trailer added to the madness, leaving the audience craving more.
Pawan Kalyan’s Heartfelt Speech
In a candid and emotional address, Pawan Kalyan expressed gratitude and admiration for his team:
-
“For the first time in my career, I attended an event in my film’s costume—only for the fans, thanks to Sujeeth.”
-
On the song Washi Yo Washi, he revealed: “It’s inspired by a Japanese haiku. In the film, the hero tells the villain: ‘You are unreachable in the skies, but I will bring you down to earth.’ That’s the essence of Ojas.”
-
Speaking about his co-star: “I’m happy to have worked with Emraan Hashmi. I still remember how his Jhalak Dikhla Ja created a sensation back then. He’s an amazing actor.”
-
On Sujeeth: “He is a hardcore fan who once wore headbands like me during Johnny. His passion brought him here. He narrates simply, but when he directs, his brilliance shines. Along with Thaman, they both worked with madness and passion—this film belongs to all of us.”
He also praised the film’s technical crew and cast:
-
“Cinematographers Ravi K. Chandran and Manoj Paramahamsa gave breathtaking visuals. Priyanka Mohan looks like an ‘80s heroine, and our short but emotional track feels like poetry. Shriya Reddy is fierce and fantastic—I promise to work with her again.”
Reflecting on the fan energy, he added:
-
“The last time I saw this much enthusiasm was during Kushi. Though I stepped away from films for politics, you never left me. You gave me strength. When I’m in films, I think only of films; when I’m in politics, I think only of politics. For this movie, my only aim was to do justice to the director’s vision.”
Pawan even revealed he learned Japanese dialogues for the film, applauding Sujeeth’s direction team and Thaman’s music crew: “The rap portion in the movie was performed by Telugu artists. When a Telugu man roars, the skies thunder.”
