‘Naari Naari Naduma Murari’ Is A Perfect Festive Entertainer – Anil Sunkara
Sharwanand’s upcoming family entertainer Naari Naari Naduma Murari is gearing up for a grand Sankranthi release. The film stars Samyuktha and Sakshi Vaidya as the female leads and is produced by Anil Sunkara under the AK Entertainments banner. Directed by Ram Abbaraju, the movie is all set to hit theatres as a festive treat on January 14.
As part of promotions, producer Anil Sunkara interacted with the media and shared several interesting insights about the film. Here are the highlights from his conversation:
There’s tough competition during Sankranthi. Was the film planned specifically for the festive season?
We designed Naari Naari Naduma Murari purely as a Sankranthi entertainer. It’s a complete festive film. Sankranthi has always been a favourable season for cinema, and the movie has shaped up exactly the way we envisioned. Releasing four to five films during Sankranthi is quite common, and there have been many instances where all Sankranthi releases turned out to be successful.
What kind of film is ‘Naari Naari Naduma Murari’?
This is an out-and-out entertainer that keeps audiences laughing from start to finish. The idea is to make people enjoy every minute they spend inside the theatre. We even had Balakrishna garu unveil our title. We haven’t used the original song fully—just a few words as a tribute.
Can you talk about the release and distribution plans?
Dil Raju garu is releasing the film in Nizam and Vizag regions. We’re releasing it on our own in East Godavari. Raja is handling West, Krishna, and Guntur, while Shobhan is releasing it in the Ceded area. The film will have a grand Sankranthi release. In today’s situation, no producer can confidently state the exact number of theatres.
Did you commit to this project during ‘Samajavaragamana’?
Yes, we committed to this project with director Ram Abbaraju during Samajavaragamana. I later introduced him to Mythri Movie Makers for his next project.
What kind of films are you planning to produce going forward?
We’ve done several films with Mahesh Babu garu earlier. At present, we’re working on both small and big-budget films. Discussions are also on with Sai Dharam Tej for a project. I’ve decided to focus more on the entertainment genre rather than experiments.
You are the last entrant into the Sankranthi race, right?
We announced our Sankranthi release two months ago, but many people didn’t believe it. Several called to confirm. As promised, we are arriving for Sankranthi. Promotions aren’t about competition—if the content is good, the audience will support it.

How important is Sri Vishnu’s role apart from Sharwanand?
Sri Vishnu has a very strong and entertaining role. Since he suited the character perfectly and was available, we approached him. His presence will be thoroughly enjoyed in theatres. The character is humorous throughout, and the combination scenes are especially funny. It won’t feel like a star making a cameo, but rather like a common man coming in and entertaining everyone.
What about the OTT deal?
Before Samajavaragamana released, we didn’t finalize any deals. Positive talk spread after the media show, and the film performed exceptionally well in theatres. Later, we received double the returns through OTT and satellite rights. For Naari Naari Naduma Murari, we’ve closed the OTT deal with Amazon.
Is it true that you don’t go on sets without a complete script?
Absolutely. A good script ensures a good film. Everything must be locked at the script level itself. I review it once after the first half is completed and again during the final schedule. If the film sticks to the script, the output will be solid. I’ve decided to take up projects only when the script is strong.
Tell us about your future projects
I’ll be producing films with Sai Dharam Tej and Teja Sajja. Goodachari 2 with Adivi Sesh is also on the way. My focus will continue to be on entertaining films. As part of that, we’re also working on a comedy entertainer titled Air Force Bezawada Batch.
