Mem Famous Will Set A Trend: Producers Anurag & Chandru
After the blockbuster hit, Writer Padmabhushan, the team of Lahari Films and Chai Bisket Films came up with the film Mem Famous introducing several social media influencers and young actors and technicians to the big screen.
The film is helmed by director Sumanth Prabhas who also plays the male lead role. Mani Eguru, Mourya Chowdary, Saarya, Siri Rasi and other young talents play important roles in the film.
The film produced by Anurag Reddy and Chandru Manoharan is going to be released on May 26. The producers shared their experience with the new team in an interview. Excerpts:
Geetha Arts is releasing the film in Telugu state while Saregama Cinemas is releasing it overseas. In Vizag, Annapurna Studios is the distributor. We have screened the film for representatives of Geetha Arts and other distributors. They liked the content very much. Even censor board members congratulated us.
We teamed up with Chai Bisket Films to do three films. The first one is Writer Padmabhushan and the second is Mem Famours. Our third project will be released by the end of the year.
We selected Sumanth Prabhas after watching his short film on YouTube. He has some spark, we liked the way he narrated the story.
We have introduced about 40 to 45 new artists and technicians in Mem Famous. This is a proper youthful entertainer but also elders will like it equally. The screenplay is the strength of the film. We believe this film will set a trend in Tollywood.
