Sony LIV, one of India’s leading streaming platforms, has dropped the powerful trailer of its much-anticipated Telugu original series Mayasabha: The Rise of the Titans. Created by renowned filmmaker Deva Katta, the series stars Aadi Pinishetty and Chaitanya Rao Madadi in lead roles and promises an intense political drama rooted in friendship, power, and ideological conflict.
Set against the backdrop of united Andhra Pradesh (1974–2009), Mayasabha chronicles the transformation of two close friends into political opponents, rising through the ranks in opposing parties. The first season focuses on the turbulent decade from 1974 to 1983, tracing their journey from student activists to emerging political forces.
Directed by Deva Katta and Kiran Jay Kumar, the series is all set to premiere worldwide on August 7 exclusively on Sony LIV.
Grand Trailer Launch Event Held in Hyderabad
The trailer launch took place today in Hyderabad with Sai Durgha Tej as the Chief Guest. The cast, crew, and media were in full attendance, setting the tone for what promises to be a landmark web series in Telugu.
The trailer opens with the introduction of Krishna Kanth Naidu (Aadi Pinishetty) and MS Rami Reddy (Chaitanya Rao Madadi). Though initially motivated by different ideals, both enter politics to serve the people. However, fate and ideological rifts push them into a fierce rivalry. The trailer showcases themes of brotherhood, betrayal, and power, leaving viewers eager for more.

Sai Durgha Tej reflected on his deep personal and professional bond with Deva Katta:

Creator Deva Katta opened up about the long journey behind Mayasabha:
“This story began as a dream in my childhood and found form when Sree Harsha approached me in 2016 with an idea involving two friends and the political landscape of Andhra Pradesh. It reminded me of House of Cards in tone. Originally envisioned as a film, the idea evolved into a web series during the pandemic. We completed what’s essentially three films’ worth of shooting in just 90 days—a massive achievement.
From now till August 7, Mayasabha is ours. From August 7, it’s yours. It’s not a product—it’s a form of wealth you’ll consume.”
