“Mahalakshmi in Andhra King Taluqa Is the Most Special Role of My Career”: Bhagyashree Borse
Energetic star Ram Pothineni is gearing up to entertain audiences with his much-awaited and unique entertainer Andhra King Taluqa. The film is directed by Mahesh Babu P and produced by leading pan-India banner Mythri Movie Makers. Packed with high-octane energy, romance, and fan-driven moments, the film promises a grand cinematic experience.
Bhagyashree Borse plays the female lead, while Kannada superstar Upendra appears in the role of an on-screen superstar. The music composed by Vivek–Mervin is already a massive hit, with four songs turning into chartbusters. The trailer, which received an exceptional response, has further raised expectations. The film is releasing on November 27th.

Congratulations on the success of Kantara. Your performance received great appreciation. How does it feel?
I’m extremely happy. The audience recognized my potential as an actor, and their response was overwhelming. And I feel this is just the beginning.
Tell us about your character in Andhra King?
I play Mahalakshmi, a college-going girl who is in love with Sagar. I can’t reveal too much right now, but her role is very crucial to the story. When you watch the film, you’ll understand why this character will stay with the audience.
What elements of the story impressed you when director Mahesh narrated it?
Fan devotion is a divine emotion. When I moved from the North to the South, I witnessed for the first time how passionately fans love and worship a star. It’s a beautiful feeling—admiring someone without any personal connection. Through this film’s story, I found the answer to how that level of admiration exists.
Do you have combination scenes with Upendra?
Yes, I have one combination scene with him. He is incredibly humble and down-to-earth. Working with him was a delightful experience.
How refreshing is Sagar–Mahalakshmi’s love story?
It’s a very pure and heartfelt love story. You may have already heard songs like Nuvvunte Chalu and Chinni Gundello. The film carries the depth and beauty of true love.
How was the experience working with Ram?
Acting with Ram Garu was amazing. He is a very energetic performer, and I feel I matched his energy. Our love track and dialogues are beautifully written. Ram Garu is an extremely positive person to work with.
What is your favourite song from the film?
The entire album has received an excellent response, and I love all the songs. But my personal favourite is Nuvvunte Chalu.
Since this is a period film, what kind of care was taken regarding costumes?
The story is set in the year 2000, and the director ensured that costumes, props, and art work were all authentic to that period. Every detail was well taken care of.
Was there any challenging sequence for you?
Yes, there is one important scene. The director explained it, and I requested him to let me perform it the way I visualized it. Everyone liked what I did, and I’m glad he gave me that creative space.
How was your experience working with Mythri Movie Makers?
Ravi Garu and Naveen Garu were the first producers I ever met. I always wanted to work with them, and doing this film with them made me very happy. They are passionate producers who make films without compromising on quality.
Tell us about your shooting experience.
We shot one schedule in Rajahmundry, where the weather was extremely hot. But as a team, we enjoyed working together and gave our best for the film.
We also have amazing actors like Tulasi Garu, Rao Ramesh Garu, and Murali Sharma Garu in the film. I learned a lot from all of them. Rao Ramesh Garu’s performance will be outstanding, and Rahul’s character also comes out beautifully.
What kind of roles do you want to do in the future?
I don’t know what kind of stories are waiting for me, but whatever comes my way, I want to give my 100% and build a reputation as a versatile actress. I love roles like Anushka Garu’s character in Arundhati, and I hope I get such impactful roles.
With just two films, you’ve already gained a strong fan following. How does that feel?
I consider it a blessing. Not everyone receives such support so early. People treat me like their own girl and shower so much love. I wish to receive more love, respect, and affection like this in the future too.
