‘Made in Korea’ to Premiere on Netflix on March 12

Produced by Rise East Entertainment and written and directed by Ra. Karthik, Made in Korea stars Priyanka Mohan and popular South Korean actor Park Hae-jin in the lead roles.

The film follows the emotional journey of Shenba, a young woman from a small town in Tamil Nadu who dreams of traveling to South Korea. Made in Korea captures her aspirations, struggles, and self-discovery as her long-cherished dream begins to take shape. The film is set to stream exclusively on Netflix from March 12.

Speaking about the film, director Ra. Karthik said,

“The historical and cultural connections between Korean and Tamil civilizations have always fascinated me, and that curiosity inspired this story. Made in Korea is a heartfelt slice-of-life film. Netflix India’s Vice President of Content, Monika Shergill, shared her thoughts, stating,

Made in Korea beautifully portrays the dreams of a young woman from a small Tamil Nadu village in a way that feels both intimate and universal.”

In the film, Priyanka Mohan delivers a natural and emotionally rich performance as Shenba, bringing depth and authenticity to the character’s journey. She is joined by Park Hae-jin, along with Noh Hyo-jin, in pivotal roles. Park Hae-jin is widely known to global audiences for his appearance in Squid Game.
