Lakshmi Manchu’s Teach For Change with the support of Pegasystems established 56
Smart Classrooms in Yadadri Bhuvanagari District last year as a pilot named, “PROJECT
REIMAGINE” to test their Smart Classrooms Initiative with ToT (Training of Trainers)
Model.
Pega Teach for Change’s Smart Classrooms aim at advancing Foundational Language
skills in Primary School Children. A room is selected in government primary schools
and the walls are painted colourfully by creating conducive learning environment for
the children, which also enhances their emotional well-being. A large flat screen LED
TV, Low-Lying Tables and Carpets are incorporated in the Smart Classroom. A carefully
curated Audio-Visual Curriculum is taught in these classrooms to enhance Phonics and
Language Abilities of Primary Children.
The District Administration of Yadadri Bhuvanagiri District signed an MoU with Teach
For Change in June 2022 and the English Teachers of all the 56 schools were trained
on delivering the modules. A proper assessment was also done by conducting
Baseline and Endline Tests. The results were outstanding. Lakshmi Manchu,
Chairperson and Managing Trustee of Teach For Change along with Brahmachari
Chaitanya, CEO and Trustee of Teach For Change and Mr. Dharanikota Syuodhan, Lead

submitted the final impact report to the Honourable District Collector Ms. Pamela
Satpathy IAS and Honourable Additional Collector (Local Bodies) Mr. Deepak Tewari
IAS in the District Collectorate, Yadadri Bhuvanagiri District.

of 3084 children who are directly benefited from this project. 56% of the children were
at the bottomline in the baseline tests. This got reduced to 32% in end-line. Only 5%
were top-performing in the baseline tests and this got improved to 18%. About 39% of
the children were on average levels at the beginning and this raised to 50%. The
