Killer Promises a Unique Sci-Fi Thriller with a Multi-Layered Screenplay
The upcoming Telugu sci-fi thriller Killer promises to offer a fresh cinematic experience with its innovative storytelling and layered narrative. Starring Jyoti Poorvaj and Poorvaj in the lead roles, the film also features Manish Gilada, Chandrakant Kollu, Vishal Raj, Archana Ananth, and Gautham Chakradhar Koppishetty in key roles.
Produced by Poorvaj and Padmanabha Reddy A under the banners Think Cinema and AU & I Studios, with the blessings of Dhyanam Nannagaru, the film is presented by Urvish Poorvaj. Directed by Sukku Poorvaaj, Killer is gearing up for a grand theatrical release. The film’s teaser was officially launched today at a grand event held in Hyderabad, receiving a positive response from media and attendees.
Speaking at the event, Line Producer Sitarama Rao said that the entire team worked with immense dedication on Killer and expressed confidence that audiences would shower the film with the same love they showed for the teaser.
Line Producer Dasarath Madhav stated that the film carries strong content combined with an emotional brother-sister sentiment. He added that despite being a small-budget film, Killer has the potential to achieve big success.
Playing the antagonist, Manish Gilada thanked director Sukku Poorvaaj for presenting him in a powerful role and said the team worked collectively to deliver a memorable cinematic experience. He expressed confidence that the film would set a new milestone at the box office.
Actor Gautham Chakradhar Koppishetty said audiences would be impressed by Jyoti Poorvaj’s intense action performance and remarkable transformation, adding that the film boasts high technical standards.
Vishal Raj mentioned that the teaser itself reflects the film’s superior technical quality and praised Jyoti Poorvaj for breaking away from her television image. Actor Srinivas described Killer as a technical marvel and one of the rare experimental films emerging from Telugu cinema.
Actor Chandrakant Kollu revealed that his character remains a suspense element throughout the film and was deliberately not disclosed in the teaser. Actor Kalicharan thanked director Anil Ravipudi for launching the teaser and stated that Killer deserves grand success. He also complimented Jyoti Poorvaj, saying she looks stunning on screen and urged audiences to watch the film in theatres.
Sharing her experience, Jyoti Poorvaj said she wanted to break away from routine television roles and thanked director Sukku Poorvaaj for presenting her in a completely new avatar. She revealed that she portrays multiple characters in the film, calling it a dream opportunity for any actor. She also performed intense action sequences, fulfilling her long-time aspiration of doing action roles inspired by legendary actress Vijayashanti. Jyoti added that the team made the film beyond their limitations—not just for profits, but to build a strong foundation as filmmakers and create opportunities through cinema.
Addressing the gathering, director Sukku Poorvaaj revealed that the script was conceived nearly five to six years ago. He stated that the teaser reveals only about 40 percent of the film, while the upcoming trailer will unveil close to 80 percent of the story. He explained that Killer blends artificial intelligence, emotional drama, brother-sister bonding, revenge, and subconscious identity into a compelling sci-fi thriller with a multi-layered yet audience-friendly screenplay.
Calling it a women-centric film, he revealed that Jyoti Poorvaj plays multiple intriguing characters—Rakthika (a vampire), Raniya (a terrorist), Riya (a spy), Rai (a poisonous woman)—along with another surprise character yet to be revealed. He concluded by thanking the entire technical team and director Anil Ravipudi for supporting the teaser launch.
