Kajal Aggarwal & Shreyas Talpade’s The India Story Locks July 24 Release

A powerful socio-national drama, The India Story, starring Kajal Aggarwal and Shreyas Talpade, is all set for a theatrical release on July 24. Directed by Chettan DK and produced by Sagar B Shinde, who has also penned the story, the film promises a hard-hitting cinematic experience rooted in pressing real-world concerns.
At its core, The India Story (also referred to as The India Story: Slow Poison) explores the disturbing consequences of chemical misuse, particularly in pesticide-driven agriculture and the controversies surrounding it. Moving beyond a personal narrative, the film expands its scope to portray a larger national crisis—one that directly impacts public health, environmental safety, and societal well-being. It boldly highlights systemic failures while underlining the urgent need for stricter regulations and accountability.
Sharing his vision, Sagar B Shinde stated, “This story reflects a reality that often goes unnoticed, yet affects countless lives. The misuse of chemicals in farming is not just an environmental issue—it is a human crisis. Through this film, we aim to spark awareness and inspire meaningful dialogue around responsibility and reform.”

The India Story will release in Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil, as a worldwide theatrical release by Zee Studios.
