JD Chakravarthy Unleashes ‘Brutal Dharma’ in Gaayapadda Simham

Retro Swagger & Ruthless Wit: JD Chakravarthy Unleashes ‘Brutal Dharma’ in Gaayapadda Simham

The buzz around Gaayapadda Simham continues to soar, and the latest character reveal has only amplified the excitement. Directed by debutant Kasyap Sreenivas and backed by Tharun Bhascker’s signature quirky storytelling, the film promises a refreshing blend of style, humour, and edge.

Presented by Pavan Sadineni and jointly produced by Kalyana Chakravarthy Manthina, Bhanu Kiran Pratapa, Vijay Krishna Lingamaneni, and Umesh Bansal under Saptaswa Media Works, POV Stories, and Zee Studios, the film features Faria Abdullah and Maanasa Choudhary in lead roles.

The spotlight now shifts to JD Chakravarthy, who steps into the role of Brutal Dharma—a character that perfectly lives up to its name. The newly released glimpse introduces Dharma as a chilling yet stylish antagonist, dripping with retro flair. Sporting sharp outfits, dark shades, and a bold gold chain, JD exudes effortless swagger, reminiscent of classic gangster icons.

The glimpse offers a peek into Dharma’s dark world, hinting at operations involving illegal logistics, drugs, and weapons tied to a shady entity named Satya Logistics. But what truly stands out is the film’s clever tonal balance. In a striking moment of dark humour, Dharma abruptly shoots a henchman mid-monologue, only to casually question if anyone expected him to wait till the speech ended. It’s a scene that brilliantly blends menace with wit, showcasing JD’s command over both intensity and comic timing.

With his savage makeover, commanding screen presence, and vintage gangster vibe, JD Chakravarthy’s Brutal Dharma is shaping up to be one of the film’s biggest highlights.

On the technical side, the film boasts a solid crew. Cinematography is handled by Vidya Sagar Chinta, while Sweekar Agasthi composes the music. Editing is managed by Viplav Nyshadam, and Chandrika Gorrepati brings a distinctive visual design to life. The story is penned by Surya Prakash Jyosula.
