Highlights from the Event
Jagapathi Babu (Lead Hero):
“It is the media’s responsibility to take Vadala to the audience—if you don’t, I won’t leave you (Vadala)! This project started because of my affection for Kishore Garu and Bharadwaj Garu. Chota K. Naidu is the soul of this film; his energy is infectious. I’ve known Laya since Manoharam, and her performance here is brilliant. We are extremely confident, and with Sunil Narang Garu backing the release, we are sure to hit the bullseye.”
Laya (Lead Actress):
“When Director Vamsi narrated the story, it felt completely fresh. I’ve never heard a script quite like this—no one can guess the ending. Working with Jagapathi Babu Garu again after Manoharam was a memorable experience. Chota Garu has captured the visuals beautifully, and I’m sure the audience will love it.”
Thammareddy Bharadwaj (Producer):
“It’s been nearly ten years since I produced a film. I was hesitant, but Jagapathi Babu’s faith in this script pushed me forward. He worked more like a producer than an actor; we cannot imagine this film without him. Despite the industry changing over 50 years, the hard work remains the same. The team worked 24/7 to bring this glimpse to life.”
Chota K. Naidu (DOP):
“I look up to Bharadwaj Garu as a mentor, similar to Dasari Narayana Rao Garu. Jagapathi Babu was my first hero, and our bond is unbreakable—just like the title Vadala. Laya’s performance in certain scenes reminded me of the legendary Jayasudha Garu.”
Hrithika Srinivas & Music Director Karthik: Both expressed their excitement, with Hrithika noting that such unique stories are rare in contemporary Telugu cinema, while Karthik promised a versatile soundtrack and a high-impact background score.
