“I’ve Never Seen a Film Like Telusu Kada Before — It’s Truly Unique and Audiences Will Love It”: Actress Raashii Khanna
After the pan-India blockbuster Mirai, People Media Factory is back with one of the most awaited musical romantic entertainers — Telusu Kada. The film stars Star Boy Siddu Jonnalagadda in the lead role, alongside Raashii Khanna and Srinidhi Shetty as the female leads. Directed by renowned stylist-turned-filmmaker Neeraja Kona, the film is produced by TG Vishwa Prasad and Krithi Prasad under the prestigious People Media Factory banner.
The songs have already become chartbusters, and the teaser has created massive buzz. Telusu Kada is all set for a grand release on October 17. On this occasion, actress Raashii Khanna spoke to the media about her experience with the film and more.
What excited you the most about Telusu Kada?
“We’ve all seen several love triangles before, but this film stands apart with one truly unique point. That twist is something audiences have to experience in theatres — it’s going to excite and surprise them.
During the shoot, I came across many unexpected moments, and the same surprises will reach the audience too. It’s a refreshing and emotional experience. I honestly haven’t seen a love story like this before — it makes you think deeply about love and boundaries.”
What was your first reaction when you heard the story?
“I completely enjoyed it. Neeraja has written every character so beautifully, with multiple emotional layers. The three central roles are very distinct, and balancing them was a tough task.
I’ve done many love stories before, but this one felt different — a very new experience. While shooting, it triggered a lot of emotions in me, and I believe audiences will feel the same.
I play a character named Anjali, who is nothing like me in real life — that contrast made it even more interesting to perform.”
How was it working with Siddu Jonnalagadda?
“Siddu is very serious about his craft. He’s extremely passionate and has a great command over every aspect of filmmaking. Working with him was truly inspiring — he brings out the best in his co-stars.”

Your thoughts on director Neeraja Kona?
“When Neeraja narrated the story, I was honestly shocked — I kept wondering how she came up with such a unique script. She has incredible knowledge about everything she handles, and though this is her debut as a director, she worked like a seasoned filmmaker. I’m sure audiences will appreciate her fresh storytelling approach.”
What kind of roles or stories do you wish to do in the future?
“I’d love to explore mythological films and also horror-themed stories. Both genres fascinate me a lot and offer scope for strong performances.”
Tell us about Thaman’s music.
“Thaman has given phenomenal music. He works with so much passion and energy. The song ‘Mallika Gandha’ has already become a big hit, and all the tracks are beautifully composed — they elevate the emotions of the film.”
How was your bonding with Srinidhi Shetty?
“We share some very interesting scenes together. She’s such a fun-loving person — full of positivity. We became really good friends during the shoot.”
Your experience working with the producers?
“I had previously worked with Vishwa Prasad garu on Venky Mama, and Telusu Kada is our second collaboration. He’s one of the most passionate producers I know. He ensures the team gets everything needed to make the film perfect. Working with People Media Factory always feels like being part of something special.”
What can you tell us about your upcoming projects?
“I’m currently working on Ustaad Bhagat Singh with Power Star Pawan Kalyan garu. It’s a huge honor to share screen space with him — his aura and fan following are on another level. It’s an unforgettable experience.”
Raashii Khanna wraps up with a confident smile, promising that Telusu Kada will be a film that redefines romance and relationships on screen — a story that will stay in the hearts of audiences long after they leave the theatre.
