IT raids on Sukumar and Mythri Movie Makers come to an end

The raids by the Income Tax Department on the houses of ace director Sukumar and producers Naveen Yerneni and Ravi Shankar Yalamanchili of Mythri Movie Makers came to an end after four days. 

The raids were carried out starting from Thursday at the houses of the filmmakers. According to reports, on Sunday night, the scrutiny of the financial transaction, audit documents and other paperwork has been concluded at the houses of the trio. 

Mythri Movie Makers was accused of allegedly violating restrictions on investments by receiving funds from foreign sources two times in a span of four months. 

A team of IT department officials from New Delhi conducted the searches. 

Due to these IT raids, Sukumar and the producers were confined to their homes for the last four days. 

Sukumar was unable to attend any of the successful meets or promotions related to his latest successful venture Virupaksha. Sumukar is one of the producers and also the screenwriter for the movie which is running successfully at the box office. 

Meanwhile, the shooting of Pushpa The Rise (Pushpa 2) was also affected due to the raids. Sukumar worked with Mythri Movie Makers in the past. 

Reports suggest that no wrongdoing on the part of the director and the producers was found during the scrutiny. The IT department may release an official statement on the raids and their outcome
