“Immigration May Catch Me” – Whiskey

Director Whiskey reveals the reason for covering his face. He announced that his movie is a true story, which happened in his life while he was in the USA.He exclaims that the “body” is still there and no one, even the parents have reported a missing person’s case. Why no one has reported is justified in the movie. When people watch it on screen, I expect them to be thrilled. The Birthday Boy Is Not a Message, It Is Raw Representation of a Wrecked Story Whiskey and Bharat.

Bomma Borusa and Whiskey comes with an exciting true story ‘The Birthday Boy’ on July 19th. The movie is about a boy killed on his birthday upon receiving birthday booms, a strange tradition, where the birthday boy gets beaten up by his friends. Any fun in moderation is okay but when it exceeds the limits, problems knock the door. In the same way, as they accidentally kill the birthday boy, the police knock on their doors.

They dodge that bullet giving some explanation to the police in that instance. Later, when the families come to know what happened, is where the real drama starts. So, what happened later and why not, even the parents file a missing complaint for their own son? Could it be about the life of other boys involved or any other reason? Should find it out on screen. Where is the body of the birthday boy?

Promotions for ‘The Birthday Boy’

The promotions for ‘The Birthday Boy’ are particularly grabbing people’s attention for being out of the box. Whiskey explains that it’s a team effort. Everyone in the movie team sat and drew ideas, peculiar, we especially invited the out of the box, weird ideas for the promotions. We implemented all those ideas for the past two months and people found them quirky and interesting. “I hope that these ideas also bring people to theaters to watch our movie.”

“The case is not yet solved, it’s in fact not even reported, that’s the reason I’m wearing this mask.” Whiskey also adds that his family doesn’t like me coming into the movie industry. Although everyone who comes into movies desires unbelievable attention and publicity, I chose to hide my identity for the sake of the aforementioned reasons.

Bharat who always wanted to be a filmmaker, being a fellow NRI, met and heard the story written by Whiskey and liked the thrilling and “never before” aspects of the story and started filming the movie. He also shared his beliefs that movie “conflicts make good output”. We didn’t agree on many things while making the movie, but these conflicts gave us a great movie that we are proud of.

Display all the characters

“Audiences are reformed to the next level, no one wants a “message” from a movie. That’s why movies have evolved too, they just display all the characters, what exactly happened with raw storytelling from beginning to the end. To take a message or not from such a wrecked story is completely left to the audience. That’s what we did with ‘The Birthday Boy’,” explained Whiskey.

Whiskey concludes, with “If you like the movie, tell that to two people, if you didn’t like the movie, tell that to Ren people.”
