“I Have Never Done a Hilarious Fun Movie Like ‘Robinhood’ in My Career So Far. The Audience Will Definitely Love It” – Heroine Sreeleela
Hero Nithiin’s highly anticipated heist comedy entertainer ‘Robinhood’ stars Sreeleela as the female lead. Directed by Venky Kudumula, this film is produced on a high budget by Mythri Movie Makers. Senior actor Rajendra Prasad plays a key role, while Australian dynamic cricketer David Warner makes a special guest appearance. The promotional content released so far has created a huge buzz. The songs composed by GV Prakash Kumar have become chartbuster hits. The movie is set to release in theaters on March 28. On this occasion, heroine Sreeleela shared details about the film in a press meet.
What is your character like in ‘Robinhood’?
My character’s name is Neera Vasudev. She is a girl who comes to India from abroad and lives in her own world, thinking the entire world revolves around her. This character is very cute and bubbly, and I’m sure the audience will love it.
Initially, Rashmika Mandanna was considered for this role. How did you come on board?
After back-to-back releases, I planned to take a short break for my education. At that time, Venky sir called me. This role was something Rashmika really liked, but due to scheduling conflicts, she couldn’t do it. When we met during the ‘Pushpa’ shoot, she wished me all the best. I really liked the character, so I took it up.
How was it working with Nithiin for the second time?
Working with Nithiin sir is very comfortable. He is a calm and composed person, like a family man. The entire team is very confident about the film. We had enough time to work on it and are bringing a quality movie to the audience. I strongly believe that the audience will make this film a big hit. I also feel that Nithiin sir and I will become a hit pair with this film.
Tell us about Vennela Kishore and Rajendra Prasad’s track in the film.
While shooting their track, we laughed endlessly. Vennela Kishore sir’s comedy is extremely enjoyable, and the scenes between us will be hilarious. Even when we recently watched the film, we couldn’t stop laughing. Rajendra Prasad sir is a legend, and his comedy timing is impeccable.
So far in your career, have you done a movie with this much fun?
No, I haven’t done such a complete fun entertainer in my career till now. This movie will remain a special comedy entertainer in my journey.

What do you say about Mythri Movie Makers?
I feel proud to say that I am part of the Mythri family. Acting under their banner is a great experience. They are excellent producers and take very good care of the team. It feels just like working on a home production.
You took a one-year gap after doing back-to-back films. Why?
Last year, I had almost one release every month. I worked 4-5 shifts per day, and the reason for that was my final year of education. Since I was in my last year of studies, I had planned everything accordingly. I always knew I would take a one-year break, but during that time, I had to miss out on many good films. However, now my medical studies are completed, though I still need to follow certain college rules and attend classes accordingly.
After ‘Bhagavanth Kesari,’ people expected you to take up more intense roles. Will you?
Definitely! Usually, people don’t remember character names from films, but after ‘Bhagavanth Kesari,’ everyone started calling me “Vijji Papa” wherever I go. That response is amazing. So, I definitely want to do more films where my character’s name gets remembered. While I continue doing commercial entertainers, I also want to take up meaningful roles with a good message.
Whenever you are seen in Bollywood, people assume you are shifting there. What do you say about that?
The Telugu industry is my home. Shifting to Bollywood will never happen. Impossible!
What are your upcoming projects?
I am working on ‘Parashakti’ and ‘Mass Jathara’ with Ravi Teja. I am also doing a bilingual Kannada-Telugu movie ‘Junior’. Apart from these, there are some more projects, and the makers will announce them soon.
