‘Hey Balwant’ Achieves Break-Even: Makers Announce at Thank You Meet

The hilarious entertainer Hey Balwant, starring promising actor Suhas and Shivani Nagaram, has successfully achieved break-even, the makers announced at a specially organized “Thank You Meet for Break-Even Done” event.

Directed by Gopi Achara, the film is produced by B. Narendra Reddy under the Trishul Visionary Studios banner. The movie was presented by the successful duo Bunny Vas and Vamsi Nandipati through Nandipati Entertainments and Bunny Vas Works.

Released in theatres on February 20, the film opened to strong word-of-mouth as a hilarious entertainer, winning appreciation from both audiences and critics, and racing ahead with blockbuster talk. Marking this success, the team conducted a unique and first-of-its-kind Thank You Meet celebrating the break-even milestone.

Producer B. Narendra Reddy Speaks
“This is the first success from our banner, and the response has been extremely satisfying. Everyone who watched the film appreciated it and congratulated us for making a good movie. I personally watched the film in theatres among the audience, and seeing their enjoyment gave me immense happiness. I sincerely request everyone who hasn’t watched the film yet to watch it in theatres.”

Director Gopi Achara
“It feels wonderful to receive such overwhelming appreciation from audiences everywhere. The fact that the film was well received even by US audiences makes this success even more special. My heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed to this achievement.”

Actress Shivani Nagaram
“My sincere thanks to the audience for making this film a success. Thank you to everyone who encouraged and loved our content. This is a film that appeals to all sections, and everyone who watched it is calling it a good movie. The entire team worked very hard for this.”

Actor Suhas said,
“After Ambajipeta, I was worried as my films weren’t showing even minimum collection numbers. Seeing the collections of this film has given me great confidence. The movie performed well overseas too, and after a long time, my film fetched a very good OTT deal. I sincerely thank producer Narendra Reddy and Vamsi Nandipati for this.”

Producer Vamsi Nandipati expressed his joy, saying,
“I’m extremely happy that Hey Balwant has achieved break-even. Very few people confidently announce that their film has recovered its investment, and I’m proud that our film stands in that category. A film truly becomes successful only when the producer recovers the investment.

We made this film on a budget of around ₹10 crores, and through theatrical collections, OTT, satellite, and other rights, we have recovered the entire amount. The US collections were especially encouraging. We expect the film to enter the profits zone in the coming days. I will soon be collaborating with director Gopi Achara again.”

Clarifying a statement made during the event, Vamsi Nandipati said,
“A small misstatement happened during the event, which was not my personal opinion. I was only recalling something said by someone 12 years ago. I have immense respect for God and awards alike. From childhood, winning a prestigious award like the Nandi Award has been my dream, and that dream is what brought me into the film industry. I would never intentionally speak negatively about such great honors. If my words hurt anyone’s sentiments, I am truly sorry.”
