Grand Celebrations for Director S.V. Krishna Reddy’s Birthday
Director S.V. Krishna Reddy, who delivered numerous unforgettable blockbusters to Telugu cinema and created many wholesome family entertainers, celebrated his birthday grandly today at F.N.C.C., Hyderabad. In his 32-year-long career, he has directed 42 evergreen films.
Many celebrities attended the event, including Srikanth, Aamani, Indraja, Laya, Ali, Shivaji Raja, Tanikella Bharani, Brahmanandam, Chandrabose, Ravali, Rajendra Prasad, Roja, Murali Mohan, Bandla Ganesh, and others.
Actor Srikanth said:
“There are two directors who played key roles in establishing me as a hero – one is E.V.V. Satyanarayana, and the other is S.V. Krishna Reddy. I played Arjuna in Ghatothkachudu, our first film together. After that, we worked on Vinodam, Egire Paavurama, Aahvaanam, and around ten films in total. His movies significantly helped my growth as a lead actor.”
Actor Ali said:
“I acted in many films produced by S.V. Krishna Reddy and Achireddy. I can never forget Yamaleela in my life. These two are synonymous with friendship. S.V. Krishna Reddy stood by many actors like me and helped shape our careers. I wish him a very happy birthday.”
Actor Tanikella Bharani said:
“My acting career can be divided as before Yamaleela and after it. My role as Thota Ramudu earned me great appreciation. Working in S.V. Krishna Reddy’s films is an unforgettable experience.”
Lyricist Chandrabose said:
“S.V. Krishna Reddy is like an elder in our family. He gave me many opportunities and encouraged me. He also let me write all the songs in his films. Our family will always remember him.”
Producer Bandla Ganesh said:
“Talking about S.V. Krishna Reddy feels like talking about my father. Even though I wasn’t skilled in acting, he gave me a chance in Vinodam and supported me. He taught me how to behave in the industry. Eventually, I became a producer, thanks to Pawan Kalyan. My life changed in an unexpected way.”
Actor Brahmanandam said:
“S.V. Krishna Reddy’s birthday is like a festival for all of us. Even though there was an important function at home, I made sure to attend this event. Missing it would’ve felt like a mistake. That’s the bond we share. Krishna Reddy and Achireddy are like Rama and Lakshmana.”
Actress Laya said:
“I feel very happy to have had the opportunity to work under the direction of S.V. Krishna Reddy. If I get another chance, I would love to act in his direction again.”
Actress Indraja said:
“Wherever I speak, I always begin by thanking S.V. Krishna Reddy. Without him, there would be no ‘Indraja’, no acting career. I believe he’s an angel sent by God for me.”
Producer Achireddy said:
“S.V. Krishna Reddy took inspiration from director K.V. Reddy. He used to say that he was a devoted disciple of Dasari Narayana Rao. I encouraged him to become a director. He made many great films in our combination. It is a matter of pride that almost every artist who worked with us is still active in the industry after 40 years. I am happy they all came for SV’s birthday celebrations.”
Actor and Producer Murali Mohan said:
“S.V. Krishna Reddy became an inspiration for the industry by making meaningful family-oriented films. Even his small-budget movies would achieve great success. Seeing how emotional everyone is while speaking today shows what a good person he is.”
Actor Rajendra Prasad said:
“I feel proud to have witnessed S.V. Krishna Reddy’s rise. He made many films that had no connection to each other in theme, yet all were amazing. Even today, Telugu people across the world talk about those films. I’m happy to be a part of his birthday celebration.”
Actress Aamani said:
“While E.V.V. Satyanarayana gave me a start as a heroine, S.V. Krishna Reddy nurtured my career. People still ask me about Subhalagnam. I feel lucky to have acted under his direction.”
Actress Roja said:
“Subhalagnam, directed by S.V. Krishna Reddy, will always be a milestone in my career. Even today, incidents like a wife selling her husband for a crore rupees happen in society, which shows how far ahead his creativity was. I wish him a happy birthday.”
Director S.V. Krishna Reddy said:
“My respects to all the great personalities. People say I gave opportunities to talented artists, but they already had the talent. My films only helped bring their abilities to the audience. I didn’t do anything special for them. I sincerely thank Achireddy Garu, who always encouraged and supported me. I also thank Rajendra Prasad Garu for acting in my first movie as a hero.”
