Global Star Ram Charan’s Wax Statue Coming to Madame Tussauds Singapore: Announced at IIFA Awards
Renowned actor Ram Charan is set to join the ranks of global icons with his wax statue debuting at Madame Tussauds Singapore in the summer of 2025. The announcement was made at the glittering 2024 International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Awards in Abu Dhabi, where Ram Charan was honored with the prestigious “Madame Tussauds of the Future Award” for his outstanding contributions to cinema and his growing international appeal.
In his statement, Ram Charan expressed his excitement:
“It’s truly an honor to join the prestigious lineup at Madame Tussauds Singapore. As a child, I was mesmerized by the lifelike figures of iconic actors, and now, to be included among them is beyond my dreams. This recognition reflects the dedication and passion I have for my craft, and I’m thankful to Madame Tussauds for this incredible honor.”
What makes Ram Charan’s wax figure even more special is the inclusion of his pet, Rhyme. He becomes the first celebrity, aside from Queen Elizabeth II, to have their pet immortalized alongside them.
“Having Rhyme with me in this experience is truly meaningful,” Ram Charan shared. “He’s a huge part of my life, and this wax figure captures the perfect balance between my work and personal life.”
The ongoing partnership between IIFA and Madame Tussauds Singapore, established in 2017, continues to celebrate the global influence of Indian cinema. Fans worldwide will soon have a unique opportunity to interact with Ram Charan’s wax figure, adding to the growing “IIFA Zone” at the museum.
Alex Ward, Regional Director of Gateway Asia, Merlin Entertainments, expressed his enthusiasm:
“We are thrilled to extend our collaboration with IIFA and welcome Ram Charan to our iconic collection at Madame Tussauds Singapore. This partnership underscores our commitment to showcasing the global impact of Indian cinema and offering unforgettable experiences to our visitors.”
Ram Charan’s wax figure will join the illustrious company of Indian cinema legends like Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, Karan Johar, and Amitabh Bachchan, further solidifying his international stardom.
