‘Gedela Raju’ Trailer Out Now, Grand Release on April 17
The trailer of “Gedela Raju”, starring Raghu Kunche in the lead role, was unveiled in a unique manner by journalist friends in Hyderabad. The film is gearing up for a grand theatrical release on the 17th of this month.
A multi-talented personality, Raghu Kunche not only headlines “Gedela Raju” but also composes the music, adding to the film’s creative strength. The movie features Ravi Anand Chinnibilli, Ramachandram, Shravy, Vikash, and Mounika in pivotal roles. Presented under the Moturi Talkies banner by Raghu Kunche, the film is directed by Chaitanya Moturi and produced by Vani Ravikumar Moturi. The trailer launch event was held grandly with members of the media in attendance.
Actress Shravy expressed her happiness, stating that having journalists unveil the trailer made the occasion special. She shared that working alongside Raghu Kunche was a memorable experience and assured that her role would leave a strong impression on the audience.
Actress Mounika highlighted that the film offers much more than what the trailer reveals. She praised Raghu Kunche’s music and mentioned that she played a significant role, urging audiences to watch the film in theaters and share their feedback.
Actor Ravi Anand Chinnibilli spoke about the team’s dedication, noting that many members hail from Kakinada. He appreciated Raghu Kunche’s guidance and leadership and sought audience support for the newcomers involved in the project.
Co-producer Tadala Veerabhadra Rao stated that apart from delivering excellent music, Raghu Kunche would impress audiences with his performance. He added that “Gedela Raju” contains all the elements needed for a complete theatrical entertainer.
Producer Vani Ravikumar Moturi emotionally shared that director Chaitanya Moturi is her son, and the film was produced to support his passion for cinema. She expressed confidence in the film and hoped audiences would encourage him as a filmmaker.
Actor Ramachandram, who makes his acting debut with the film, recalled his association with Chaitanya Moturi from his assistant director days. He expressed strong confidence in the project and invited audiences to experience it in theaters.
Actor Kishtayya praised Raghu Kunche’s versatility, drawing comparisons to legendary performers like S. V. Ranga Rao and Kaikala Satyanarayana for acting, and iconic singers like S. P. Balasubrahmanyam and Ghantasala for vocal prowess. He also likened his composing style to that of maestro Ilaiyaraaja.
Speaking at the event, Raghu Kunche emphasized that while every filmmaker believes in their work, it is ultimately the content that decides a film’s success. He expressed confidence that “Gedela Raju” has strong content and appealed to audiences to watch the film in theaters if they liked the trailer.
Director Chaitanya Moturi described the film as a gripping murder mystery and crime thriller, encapsulated in a crisp runtime of 2 hours and 1 minute. Highlighting the film’s unique narrative, he said the tagline — “One truth if you watch, a hundred doubts if you don’t” — reflects its essence. He revealed that the story keeps audiences engaged from the very first scene, with no clear heroes or villains, only layered characters and their lives.
He further added that the final 40 minutes of the film are particularly powerful. The team experimented extensively, including introducing new rural singers and shooting across 84 diverse locations. A 2.5-minute action sequence featuring 60 newcomers and scenes filmed amidst real crowds in Kakinada add to the film’s authenticity. He concluded by saying that the film was made with utmost sincerity, ensuring not a single minute or rupee of the audience’s time is wasted.
