Doordarshini to Melt Hearts with Real-Life Inspired Emotional Story

Doordarshini to Melt Hearts with Real-Life Inspired Emotional Story

A heartfelt romantic entertainer, ‘Doordarshini’, starring Suvikshit and Geethika Ratan in the lead roles, is gearing up to captivate audiences with its emotional depth and nostalgic charm. Inspired by a real-life incident, the film carries the soulful tagline “Kalipindi Iddarini” (It United Two Hearts). Directed by Karthikeya Kommi and produced by Jaya Shankar Reddy M and Patimeedi Santosh under the Varaha Movie Makers banner, the film is all set for a grand theatrical release on May 15.

Actor Gemini Suresh expressed his happiness, saying, “After overcoming several hurdles, we are finally releasing the film on May 15. I urge everyone to tune their ‘heart’s antenna’ towards Doordarshini. It’s a deeply moving film that will leave a lasting impression and bring recognition to everyone involved. I was given a unique role, and I believe my character, along with others, will resonate with audiences. Watching this film feels like enjoying homemade comfort food—it brings back the warmth of village life and cherished memories.”

Director Karthikeya Kommi highlighted the film’s broader appeal: “Many may assume it’s just a love story, but it carries emotions that connect with parents, youth, and society as a whole. The film beautifully recreates the nostalgia of the 1990s, especially the era when families eagerly gathered to watch programs like Chitralahari. It’s an emotional journey that will touch every heart and take audiences back to their golden days. I am confident that this film will earn Suvikshit great recognition as a hero. The climax, in particular, will leave viewers deeply moved and thoughtful long after they leave the theatre.”

Heroine Geethika Ratan shared, “This film has been made with immense love and passion. It’s a soothing and emotionally rich experience—perfect for this summer. Stories like this are rare, and I strongly believe Telugu audiences will connect with it deeply.”

Hero Suvikshit revealed the powerful real-life inspiration behind the story: “During my Giripradakshina at Arunachalam, I met an elderly man who was begging. When I spoke to him, he shared his heartbreaking life story, which became the foundation of this film. It explores why a father is pushed to such circumstances because of his own son. This is not just a story—it’s a reflection of real emotions and human struggles. I can say this with conviction—no one can watch this film without shedding tears. It also shows how Doordarshini becomes a bridge that unites two hearts. Even recalling the story brings tears to my eyes. The film delves into a father’s emotional turmoil and the situations that lead him down such a path. Honestly, along with the ticket, we might as well give audiences a handkerchief.”

Lavanya Reddy added, “Set against the scenic backdrop of the Godavari region, this film offers a beautiful and immersive theatrical experience. It’s a heartwarming love story that will entertain audiences while leaving them with a deeply satisfying emotional takeaway.”

Actors Kittayya, Teja, Balaraju, and others were also present at the event, extending their support to the film.

With its blend of nostalgia, emotional storytelling, and a poignant real-life inspiration, ‘Doordarshini’ promises to be a memorable cinematic experience that resonates with audiences of all ages.
