Custody Is A Unique Cop Story, says Krithi Shetty

The trailer of Akkineni Naga Chaitanya and director Venkat Prabhu’s upcoming film ‘Custody’ is getting tremendous responses. The film in which Naga Chaitanya plays a police Constable is set for release on May 12 in Telugu and Tamil languages.
Budding actress Krithi Shetty has been cast against Naga Chaitanya for the first time. She spoke about the film in an interview. Read excerpts:
What’s exciting about Custody’s story?
Generally, the hero aims to end the villain in all the movies but in Custody, the hero tries to save the villain. This is the most thrilling part of the movie.
What did you like about your role in Custody?
I play a key role in the film. It balances the ups and downs in the story and it has a lot of scope for performance. Instead of practising dance, I had to practice gymnastics. Director Venkat Prabhu told me I will get a call from Marvel after the film hits the screens (laughs).

About the underwater sequence?
The team enjoyed a lot while shooting underwater scenes. We did a sequence in 15 days. We were in the water continuously for five days.
How was working with Naga Chaitanya ?
Naga Chaitanya is my favourite actor as well as a person. My rapport with Chaitanya offscreen helped my chemistry with his character on screen.
It was a great experience working with senior actors including Arvind Swamy., Sarath Kumar, Sampath, Vennela Kishore and others.
Have you taken up any new projects, or updates?
I am doing a film with Sarwanand and another film in Malayalam. A few more projects will be announced by the respective makers soon.
