“Couple Friendly Will Engage Audiences”: Santosh Soban
Hero Santosh Soban headlines the upcoming musical romantic love story Couple Friendly, with Manasa Varanasi as the female lead. The film is being grandly produced in Telugu and Tamil under the UV Concepts banner and is presented by the reputed production house UV Creations. Ajay Kumar Raju P. serves as the co-producer, while Ashwin Chandrasekhar has directed the film.
Scheduled for a festive theatrical release on February 14, coinciding with Valentine’s Day, Couple Friendly will hit screens in both Telugu and Tamil. Passionate producer and distributor Dheeraj Mogilineni is releasing the film across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The film’s pre-release press meet was held today in Hyderabad, with the cast and crew sharing insights into the project.
Speaking at the event, producer and distributor Dheeraj Mogilineni clarified the certification concerns surrounding the film.
“The censor board suggested a title change for Couple Friendly. However, since the film was made and promoted extensively with the same title, we felt it wouldn’t be appropriate to change it at the last moment. As a result, the Telugu version received an A certificate, while the Tamil version received a UA certificate. I want to strongly clarify that Couple Friendly is a pure love story and can very well be called a family entertainer. The hero and heroine come from respectable family backgrounds, and family relationships play a crucial role in the film.”
He further expressed confidence in the film’s potential:
“This film will give Santosh Soban a major breakthrough. Youth will strongly connect with his character and emotions. Manasa Varanasi has lived her role with complete sincerity—she never once stepped out of character. Being a Telugu girl, I truly hope she gets many more great opportunities. We are planning premieres on Thursday in Chennai, Hyderabad, Tirupati, Nellore, Vizag, and Vijayawada. Though the official release is on the 14th, shows will begin from the evening of the 13th.”
Sharing her experience, heroine Manasa Varanasi said,
“The response to the Couple Friendly trailer has been extremely encouraging. I received many calls and messages appreciating it. Our director originally wrote the script in Tamil, and we carefully adapted the dialogues into Telugu while maintaining the rhythm and timing. This film truly taught me the value of teamwork—everyone worked with the collective goal of making the film successful. Santosh Soban’s dedication will be clearly visible on screen. After Dheeraj garu joined us, the entire team felt a new surge of energy. I sincerely request audiences to watch our film in theatres.”
Hero Santosh Soban, expressing gratitude and excitement, said,
