Bomb Threat at Actress Trisha’s Residence Creates Panic
Chennai: A major security scare unfolded on Friday after a bomb threat was reported at the residence of popular actress Trisha Krishnan in Teynampet, Chennai.
According to police officials, an anonymous caller claimed that an explosive device had been planted inside the actress’s home. Immediately after receiving the alert, security forces rushed to the spot. Bomb disposal squads, along with sniffer dogs, were deployed to conduct thorough checks in and around the premises.
The search operation continued for several hours, but authorities later confirmed that no explosive materials were found. The threat has now been identified as a hoax call, but the police are treating the matter with utmost seriousness.
This incident comes at a time when several high-profile individuals, including political leaders, also received similar threats. Given the pattern of calls targeting prominent personalities, police believe the incidents may be linked and are investigating from multiple angles.
Trisha, one of the leading stars in South Indian cinema, was reportedly not at home when the threat was made. Her family members and staff were briefly evacuated as a precautionary measure.
Speaking to the media, senior police officials confirmed that they are tracing the origin of the call and warned that strict legal action would be taken against those responsible. Making false bomb threats, they said, not only causes public panic but also misuses valuable emergency resources.
Security has since been tightened at Trisha’s residence, and police have urged the public to remain calm while investigations continue.
