Bandla Ganesh Begins ‘Sankalpa Yatra’ as a Divine Vow, Not a Political March
Renowned film producer Bandla Ganesh stated that “Sankalpa Yatra is not a political journey. It is a divine resolve — a vow made to God. Since God fulfilled my wish, I am undertaking this journey to repay that debt.” Bandla Ganesh began his Sankalpa Yatra on foot from Shadnagar to Tirumala.
Speaking at a media interaction, Bandla Ganesh said:
“Greetings to everyone. This Sankalpa Yatra is not a political march. It has nothing to do with any political party. It is purely a divine resolve. It is a vow I made to God. Since God fulfilled my wish, I am walking to repay my gratitude.
I am taking this step forward with heartfelt thanks to my people of Shadnagar who gave me my identity and purpose in life, and to Pawan Kalyan garu, who is like a divine force who inspired and guided me forward. I went to Hyderabad hoping to meet Chiranjeevi garu, and today the film he acted in is playing in my theatre. I see the start of this foot journey as a blessing from God.
I usually wake up at 4 a.m. That day, when I saw the news of Chandrababu Naidu’s arrest on television, I was shocked. A leader with a 40-year political legacy, who upheld the self-respect of Telugu people across the world — how could such a person be arrested? I thought he would be brought to Guntur and released on bail. Instead, he was sent to Rajahmundry Jail. As days passed, my anxiety grew. I feared something might happen to him in jail. Every moment, I waited for news of his release.
Whenever there was a court hearing, I went to the Supreme Court. The moment I heard news of his bail, I would rush to Delhi. I vowed to Lord Venkateswara that if Chandrababu Naidu returned home from jail, I would walk from my doorstep to the Lord’s abode. By God’s grace, after 52 days, when I saw the great leader Chandrababu Naidu emerge with the pride and radiance of the Telugu people, my happiness knew no bounds.
I prayed that such a leader is essential for the Telugu community, and today I am fulfilling that vow through this foot march. Please do not view this journey politically or criticize it. Every step I take is the step of every admirer of Chandrababu Naidu. Jai Chandrababu. I thank Lord Venkateswara, who gave me this opportunity, and the people of Shadnagar. I seek your support, affection, and blessings.”
Vizianagaram MP Appalanaidu said:
“This Sankalpa Yatra undertaken by Bandla Ganesh is truly commendable. During those days, crores of people expressed solidarity with Chandrababu Naidu. Today, many Telugu people are standing in support of Bandla Ganesh’s yatra. With the blessings of the Lord, this journey will move forward successfully. We all wish to have the Lord’s darshan together with him on the final day. I am very happy to be part of this program.”

As per the vow he made, Ganesh anna has now begun this foot pilgrimage from Shadnagar to Lord Venkateswara’s abode. This yatra will grow like a vast ocean. Telugu people across the world will bless him. I pray that he reaches the Lord’s presence without any obstacles and that God grants me the opportunity to be there on the day of darshan.”
