Legendary filmmaker Singeetam Srinivasa Rao is gearing up to present the most ambitious project of his illustrious career with Sing Geetham. Having redefined Indian cinema with nearly sixty films across multiple languages over several decades, the visionary director is returning to the director’s chair at the age of 94, once again proving that creativity knows no boundaries. From the iconic silent classic Pushpaka Vimana to the visionary sci-fi cult film Aditya 369, Singeetam has consistently pushed cinematic innovation. His collaborations with Kamal Haasan, including Apoorva Sagodharargal and Michael Madana Kama Rajan, remain benchmark films in Indian cinema. Now, he is set to captivate audiences with Sing Geetham, India’s first-ever musical fantasy film.
Produced by Vyjayanthi Movies and Swapna Cinema under the production of Nag Ashwin, the project brings together a legendary filmmaker and one of India’s most prestigious production houses. The film stars Ayaan, Ahalya Bamroo, and Shalini Kondepudi in key roles. The recently released Sing Geetham teaser and the “Hello Basu” teaser received a terrific response from audiences. The film is slated for a worldwide theatrical release on June 11. As part of promotions, the makers organized the “Meet Our Vizag Hero” event today.
Speaking at the event, hero Ayaan said, “Hello everyone, my name is Ayaan. I am from Vizag and grew up in Akkayyapalem. Coming from Vizag to Hyderabad and becoming a hero in Telugu cinema gives me immense happiness. This is my debut film, and getting an opportunity to work with prestigious banners like Vyjayanthi Movies and Swapna Cinema under the direction of legendary filmmaker Singeetam Srinivasa Rao garu is truly a blessing. This is a wonderful film that audiences of all age groups will enjoy. No film with such a concept has ever been made in the Indian film industry before. I never imagined that I would become the hero of such a unique and special project. This is truly a dream-come-true moment for me.”
Ahalya Bamroo said, “Hello everyone. I play the role of ‘Gowri’ in the film. I am from Puducherry, and when I see Vizag, it reminds me of Pondicherry. I absolutely love Vizag. I even learned Telugu for this movie. Acting in Sing Geetham has given me immense joy. Working with a prestigious banner like Vyjayanthi Movies is every actor’s dream, and this film fulfilled that dream for me. I hope audiences watch and support the movie in theatres when it releases on June 11.”
Shalini Kondepudi shared, “Vizag is very special to me. I love Vizag. In this film, I will be seen as ‘Renu,’ a very fresh and unique character.
